A better council with a better leader though that wouldn’t be difficult so all things are relative.

There are far more safeguards in place than last time. I wish that meant I could say it was a definite but from the little I know I can’t. All I can say is the sums involved are smaller relative to the gain so in this case it looks like it might be easier for the developer to play it straight.

I have to be careful however, I have little trust in the Mackie's. Hopefully if Boot's are involved in the development, then I have a little more faith in the proceedings.

On this occasion, it's not down to YC as I understand it. It's down to WMDC's willingness to enforce. If you need to trust anyone it's the council, sadly I expect that's not made you feel any safer

I never understood Box motives as NM could have been up and running years ago. People go on about back handers but I see no evidence. Ditto political motive. Truth is I think Box in particular didn’t push it because he simply wasn’t interested and because he had a huge ego he did it to prove he could do as he wanted, total p*llock imho.

I accept realism but does everyone have to be quite so negative. There are a lot of people working tirelessly behind the scenes, it might be nice just occasionally to show a little support and encouragement.

It’s probably not how you meant it to sound but in the only request I’ve ever received from MC it was that we the fans talk the club up in a positive manner. Let’s try or at least let’s not get upset until bad things actually happen.
