I couldn’t be more pleased that they are selling well, better than any other in modern times apparently. It is much needed revenue for the club……but it doesn’t change my opinion that it still looks like a Leeds shirt!

| I'd like to think that I'm a "sensible" poster - no need for a comment from you FIL on that ....
I said I didn't like it and - this is the important thing - it bears no [iactual[/i resemblance to our [ioriginal historic[/i colours.
But I'm glad that it's selling well......

| Quote Trojan Horse="Trojan Horse"My bad too. As I was replying I think I read back and thought it was part of your post but appears to be a post you’ve quoted.
Anyway, I’m glad it’s selling well. Does anyone know when the away shirt will likely be unveiled?'"
I buy one most years but unless we make a final I’d never wear one, they look silly on me and they do tend to hum a bit.
However for those who do I can see why they like them.
One thing nobody has mentioned- they do actually look rather classy by jersey standards.
From a design perspective you can’t knock it.
As I say look what Leigh’s very own Del Boy has just done.

Financial issues aside, do you not like the design of the shirt full stop because it doesn't look good, or simply because it's does not resemble fully the original historic colours even if according to some opinions it looks better.

| It's a shirt, love it or hate it let's not have a mass falling out over it.

Exactly, don't see your point here nobodies falling out just a range of opinions on it, it's the off season with little else of interest to our fans to discuss, personally I like the shirt although I no longer buy them and I just wondered if BG did not like the design or because it did not incorporate the original colours, no further comment needed.

| The colour of the shirt is less important than what is on the inside and when we start winning games, it will be the best shirt in a generation!
(it does look a bit like a Leeds shirt though )

| I don't get the reference to "in modern times" regarding the sales volume.
I don't know when replica shirts became popular, but I don't recall many being worn at Wembley in 79. It was mainly a scarf and a bobble hat. I regard that as pretty modern times. The only large purchases prior to then were maybe school kids buying them for P.E./Rugby Lessons.
What sales are required for the word "ever" to be used?

| Personally I think it is a good design however for me I associate the colours with Leeds and the first thing I thought when I saw it was that it was a Leeds Kit. I get that they are trying to go back to our first ever colours but I don't see any black on the shirt which I believe was on the original shirt 150 years ago.
I would like to know if at any point in the desgin process whether anybody from the club brought up the fact that it does look like a Leeds shirt.

| Quote vastman="vastman"Mine didn’t but then I’ve never shared this Leeds inferiority complex. Bit arrogant of you to assume you know how Trojan thinks.
Why not just let it go, we have far more important issues.

[We did for the first half of last season. I didn't like that either!!!
