| Clunky performance and the ref kept them in it. Even Pricks tried his hardest to disallow Ryans try. Thought it was gonna be a Minchella magic moment again. Hope you guys stay up come season end .

Toulouse had a couple of decent positions to take a DG when they were 6 up, cant believe they didn't set up for one..
We still need another win, maybe two to be safe.

| Rovers are down to the bare bones and then some so I'm delighted that we were able to somehow snatch a win tonight.
Firstly for us but also for Wakefield Trinity. We shaded a win against yourselves recently and again tonight against Toulouse so I'd say that's even.
I hope and expect that you will be in Super League next year.

| We dodged another bullet tonight I just hope that if we survive then the powers that be realise this must be the last time we penny pinch on player recruitment. We are already behind other clubs because we cannot sign or try to retain players until we know the league we are in.
The other problem is that the team likely to be coming up are considerably stronger than Toulouse if they go down which just adds to our survival problems next season.

We've got a couple of big names off the books next year in Johnstone and Toupou, which might help, along with one or two others. The success of Salford and Huddersfield does show however that paying for a good coach is a signing worth more than a couple of good players.
Having all we've said about Willie, the season end might turn out to show that Willie hasn't done a bad job, considering the money we have to spend on players. If he stays and we stay up, we can just hope that this year was his learning curve. Last week's result shows that he can motivate the players to execute a game plan (although I think Cas's problem was that Radford will have had them so fired up for the Hull game, for his own reasons, that maybe they didn't have enough steam left for us).
We need a good result on Saturday and a bad result for Warrington, so they are fired up for the Toulouse game. I'm hoping last night might have just popped the confidence of Toulouse, whereas maybe we will go the other way.

Said the very same thing to my mate - MC simply cannot let us do this again - it's a perpetual cycle that has to be broken.
I know the response is "buy a season ticket" (got one), "go in the club shop" (got so much gear it is ridiculous) but the fact is we didn't squander a massive share of the cap on players we didn't need on long deals.
Just need to be a bit smarter about recruitment. Recruitment shouldn't be like being in Mr Clarks on a Saturday night and you haven't pulled and last song comes on and you just settle for "quarter to 2, she (or he / they) will do"! Just don't buy the player if you don't need him. We've already paid the price this year for the panic purchases made 12 months ago.

| How on earth did we (Rovers) win that. We were crocked and lost two more players. Funny how so many of our "tries" go to VAR, it almost looked like they were absolutely desperate to find a way to disallow any score we made, but none for the opposition...hmmmm! and they got lots of "six agains".Ok, that,s my biased head talking, I know. Not forgetting we were without both first choice half backs, first choice full back, first choice winger, at least two props, plus the two we lost, and seemed out on our feet. Blood pressure through the roof for our supporters once again, but we won, that's all that matters to us, we can breath again and go next season. Think you will beat Toulouse and at least one more and stay up, good luck. As long as you don,t beat us...We might even have some players back and give you a proper game, and if you are safe you will be able to relax as well.. Does anyone really know what's happening with Batchelor? looks like a good player.

Sadly we don't play Toulouse again but we do play you. Much as I'm grateful you are the highest on my can/must win list.

| Painful to watch at times last night but we got the job done! Echo the other comments were theres some seriously questionable body language decisions against us and for them. We have to score perfect tries it seems and even when gone upstairs as a try it's been reversed more times than usual this year..
That Wakey v Rovers game will be a strange one, played 3 days before another fixture! Ludicrous but I imagine both teams till target it.

It's not so much going to the video ref if the on field refs not sure, it's the number of replays he keeps going back to when it's clear what the outcome should be, fwiw I thought Hicks as the video ref robbed you blind against your neighbours at Newcastle, I don't have the sound on when Wilkins is on, Hicks wasn't the VR last night was he?

The general consensus over here is that Batch will be playing for you next year

That would be absolutely gutting. He’s been player of the season. He should be our future right second row for years to come.

Know exactly what you mean, Old Timer. We experienced just the same last week against Cas.

Of course you don't. In the euphoria of our comeback win, which in effect makes us safe, my brain went to mush. It's Wire that play Toulouse, which could be fun. Hopefully, when we play you, we might, just might, have some players back...I still think you will stay up..That defeat really hurt them.
Re. Batch..we heard he is coming our way..hope so.
