Even today I didn't see lack of heart or effort, just lack of ability compared to the opposition. The 2006 squad had the quality that should never have been where they were, but again we held onto a coach who was out of his depth for too long. They only found that heart in the last 6 games.

Max is good enough. Our defence will improve without Lino as he's an absolute turnstyle.

I’ve noticed in numerous games this year he simply doesn’t shift across quickly or effectively enough, like you say an absolute turnstyle, making the centre draw in leaving a 2 on 1 every time. I’ve seen plenty of teams just bombard his side.

The game next Saturday reminds me of so many with its importance for our survival. This is usually the time we put on a performance and win but this time I don’t think the players believe it is possible.
I hope the comment that this is just another game is for the press and not the attitude passed onto the players.
I hope that the pride of the players especially those that are leaving is such that they don’t want to leave from a relegated team. I would not fault any of them leaving at the end of the season, the majority have tried to improve the performances but unfortunately we do not currently have enough quality players to fill the 17.

Toulouse next up, Hull FC and two games against Hull KR are all very winnable and would be plenty to keep us up. Now granted whether that happens is very muh doubtful right now but it is possible.

Agreed. Both Hull teams are playing terribly at the moment KR seem to have given up. Could do with them both maintaining that form.

How did Butler go this time considering nobody passed to him in the last game.

I honestly didn’t notice him apart from when we were receiving kick offs.

He’s a big lump of a lad but something isn’t clicking with him and Trinity at the moment.

Came on for last 20/25 and I though he went okay. Didn’t put a foot wrong. Few drives, some decent tackling. I feel he needs match fitness and we will have to be patient with him.
