Not sure. I remember that the tribute frontman looked like Les Battersby.

Might work but parking may be the big issue.
Also not sure how many it holds. There are quite literally dozens of 10,000 plus arenas around these days and pubs for the start up bands. Not sure there is a market for it tbh.
I have fond memories of the ABC but truth is it’s nothing special and imo needs knocking down. I’m all for heritage but we have that in the Theatre on Westgate.'"
Personally, as much as I like music, and live gigs, not a real fan of arena gigs, and as there are arenas in Leeds, Sheffield and recently Hull, not sure if Yorkshire needs another.
Maybe a venue the size of Sheffield City Hall, Barrowlands in Glasgow or the Manchester Apollo would be better

The Blue Light or "Blue Leet" as it was affectionately called was on Green Lane behind Alverthorpe School and next to the Con club. It's official name was The Malt Shovel. Spent a few nights in there, It actually had a blue light over the door.
Surprised some wag didn't swap the blue bulb for a red one.

| My biggest thrill musically was going to see the Rolling Stones at Leeds Odeon on October 9th, 1965 when they were in their heyday with Brian Jones and Bill Wyman. My favourite band of all time. I remember the date clearly as it was the same day that Elsie Frost was murdered at Horbury Lagoons. When the police came around interviewing people where they were on that day they asked me where I was, I told them that I'd gone to see the Rolling Stones at Leeds. The detective then turned to my mother and said, =#FF0000"Did you go with him?" I ask yer!! Yer couldn't make it up!!
