I think we got tangled with politicians when we went into financial decline, probably started when we lost Ronnie Fell as our backer way back in the 60's. We started looking towards the council for help in the bad times that followed and the rest, as they say, is history.
I wish we could become non reliant on politicians because IMO they can make their mouth say anything.

Who would I prefer at f b for trinity out of the rest in S L.

I think a lot on here would say they'd rather have Scott 'the second coming' Grix than anyone else in SL.

You clearly watched a different team last year; Grix was one of our most consistent players, in a position that is very exposed, and where the errors that every player makes over a season, can be most costly.

I'd say he was up there with Tupou and Ashurst as one of our most consistent performers of 2017.

Mega mistake v Saints, but these things happen over a season, was it a Leeds player who passed to opposition behind his own line? Or t'other way round, I recall a couple of times players missing the ball when kicking dead and the oppo score. Or Woods pass straight to Hull player.
It happens, still wouldn't swap Scott for ten of the other FB 's (would have Barba)

Ben Roberts who passed to a Leeds player behind his own line assuming it was a free play. He is the definition of rocks and diamonds.

And he reserved his worst performance for the GF - inexplicable!

I’d be tempted to take Golding from Leeds, I thought he was fantastic for them at the start of the year.

For me he's one of the worst fullbacks in SL - no idea how he keeps his place - He didn't that young kid took it for the GF!

Wasn't he also the one who got absolutely butchered at BV last month?

He's certainly nowhere near Jowitt IMHO

He was just as bad the week before. Makes ways too many unforced errors for my liking.
