Quote: braytontiger "cas panthers u9s season ended in a sorry state after losing 24-6 at stanningley, the scoreline isnt important to what went off on the field and from the touchline.

i dont want to go into to much detail other than to say that two of our best players were subjected to something no player should go through with one player needing medical attention.

today i brought my team of 9 year olds off the field and wanted to walk away but my players refused to be beaten and finished the game despite been subjected to awful treatment.
disgusted at reading this ... Don't know you personally , but from what I've read on your posts and from what I've witnessed when our lads have played you , your attitude as a club is bang on and I wish everywhere else was as welcoming . These stories must get back to thepowers that be , but nowt seems to happen . There's too many excuses about where people come from etc. But that's absolute bo@;ocks - to some it's just win at all costs and stuff the rest . We could of easily been beaten by eastmoor today and the reffing could have been questioned long into the night, but nothing like you've had today was likely to happen.
These are 9 year olds and these ars&holes are going to put loads of them off the game , including some of their own icon_mad.gif

Quote: Mutts "ermmm penalty on the last ....did you play at eastmoor by any chance and if so how many penalties were for off side

played them at home so they provided the ref .
The thing is .... They've just got to win - nowt wrong with that - but win fair for Christ sake- 4 sets in a row on our own line ,offsides, head high tackles , incorrect play the ball - it's just what you come to expect when you play them . Anyway from what has happened at stanningley today makes this sound v. trivial

a good day all round, the rugby was very intence with four teams that were very evenly matched, normy were a credit too although they were a bit out of their depth i was assured they enjoyed the experiance of playing higher leagued teams.defencivly we were brilliant and in the end thats what won the gala for us because we were a long way from our best with the ball in hand,i was pleased that the watchers picked out liam for player of the tournamant because tackling sometimes goes un-noticed in these events and for a player who didnt score to win it shows how good his tackling was.like ive said before 4 very good teams who all gave it their best and even if it did get a little heated at times the rugby was top draw for u9s.

ive still not got over the weekend i had work to do for the u11s u12s and u13s yesterday morning and then managed to squeeze the cas match in aswell,we have cancelled training tonight too as the kids are all whacked from their exursions, hopefully we will be fit and ready to do it all again on sunday at lock lane.

season over for the 9s after a tough day at lock lane for the gala.

Stanley not at their best but should still be very happy with the season as a whole . Townsville n Garforth gave good accounts and the final was yet again between Lock Lane and Cas Panthers with the latter getting the spoils yet again.

left early but best player on the pitch today for my money was the cas panthers 10 who is a big unit with plenty of propping skill although i was very pleased with my lad and his contribution today and hopefully a rest will see him and the others return with lots of spirit.

congrats to the lads of Stanley 8s and 9s and of course to the coaching squad who make it a very enjoyable experience for my kids. eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif

season over for us too, another good day at lock lane we were much more fluent in attack yesterday and scored some good team tries.

it was very difficult to try and defend on such a small pitch but all the teams were reasonably well matched, garforth were the big suprise to me who were a big unit that had pace too,has you say stanley wernt at their best yesterday and it might of been a case of 1 week too many.

another cracking final against lane they must wonder what they after do to beat us has they chucked the kitchen sink at us before we snatched the winning try.

loking forward to next year after a good break first we already have 16 players signed up so competion for places is really going to hot up.
