Yes I believe they hope to have him available for next week which suggests this deal as been ongoing sometime with visas etc.

Anyone who saw Tupou in the reserves that night around 4 weeks ago knew that his season was over and he would not be playing again. Nobody wanted to say it because Tupou is all class and a top guy. It was clear to me that was that on the night.

I would imagine we have been exploring options since then so probably a few weeks in the process.

That’s great news. To be fair to the guy he will just want to come here and play to put himself in the limelight.

I’m looking forward to seeing him play. We very much need to sort the right side backs out. I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Taufau and Kershaw line up next week at centre/wing.

I hope he doesn’t expect this type of weather every day because he will be in for a shock.
