| Well Lynne had a great game yesterday and had the pass to Riley been a little lower we would have had another try.I have said before the lad could do with going to the White Rose just to toughen him up and give him what I think he has been lacking and that's confidence in him self.It just might be with the change of how things are gone about and changed now he has the confidence to go out and do it.

And why would a day shopping toughen him up?

| Fair play he did well yesterday, it would be perhaps a tad churlish to point out the two potential tries he bombed first with an awful pass inside to Riley and the other not passing at all, but he did all that was asked of him.

I was thinking about posting the same.
I have a lot of time for Lyne. He is a good runner with a lot of speed but he just hasn't got the centre passing skills to make him great. I said the same about Walshaw and am happy with both playing but we have to accept that the wing is only going to get a pass when either the line is broken or when Tim Smith misses the centre with a long pass.

Aside from his passing if he gets his confidence high and backs himself on the outside of players he will become a good asset.

or through them to be honest. He put some beef on in the off season and he is n't without strength to get through a tackle.
His greatest gift though is that when he gets through he is out of site in two steps. He has got more confidence with ball in hand and with Smith passing to him he is less likely to make the mistake.

| Lyne had a very good game imo, good defence, wrapped up the Wig centre / winger a few times. and strong in running the ball out. A good break when put away and just not sure if his pass to Riley was poor or Riley dropped a clanger.

| I have bagged Reece Lynne on a regular basis but credit where it's due I thought he had a great game on Sunday. I still don't believe he's a great centre and his pass to Riley although only slightly mis-timed was an example of how at the moment he lacks the ability to put his centre away. Having said that, not all great centres have the pass to the winger in their locker, they use either strength, guile or speed to break the line and create the offensive chances. Of those three attributes, Reece has certainly acquired strength in his upper body, but what he does have in abundance is speed. That has been a rare and precious commodity over the years at Belle Vue (David Smith anybody?), and I hope for the sake of the club that JW can find a way to use that speed for the benefit of the team (and speccies - is there a better sight than one of your players putting the afterburners on and scorching away from a defence?).
I like Matt Ryan, if I was playing pro RL - and thanks be to god that I aren't, because I'm a wet lettuce - I would want Matt alongside me. Who told him he should be a RL player? Tall, skinny, red hair. BUT what an attitude, no-one tries harder, maybe not the most skilful, but I'll support any player with a heart like that wearing the RWB.
Finally, Scott Anderson -unsung, hard as nails, does the hard yards and doesn't need to give penalties away to prove he's hard like Poorey. Fantastic to watch.
I could go through the team at the moment, and probably will at some point. God I feel good.
Credit to JW for seemingly installing a new sense of belief and pride in the badge. Seems quiet and unassuming and happy to let the team do the talking on the field. That will do for me at the moment.
Thanks to Snowie and all the other helpers for doing the hard graft when all supporters were at their lowest ebb, much respect.
Thanks to MC for having any team to cheer on at all, never mind beating the Champs on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
The crowds will return when they see the pride in the badge - to quote Kevin Costner with slight tongue in cheek "build it and they will come".
Amen.
