| I think we are heading towards the NRL style feeder club system though it will have to wait for the mighty Bulls to go down and come back up again before its set in stone.

he's been great. a real surprise package, a very good example of a coach getting the best from a player.
if he maintains his form for another five years, he'll be in line for a shot at england knights selection.

I certainly think he has 3-4 years left in the top flight. Hopefully we will get him signed on for 2014 and onwards.

Hope you're right! O'Meley is the type of hard nosed experienced powerful prop that WTW need if he stays fit & has still has the drive then if used in short bursts he would be worth a 2 year contract at WTW. Heard he works well for R.A.? A good addition to the props we've got such as Amor, Wilkes, Raleigh & James that can learn from him.

Quite an old rumour this one and like you, I'd be happy with it - there aren't many old-fashioned props like O'Meley left in the game and used right, he'd be a useful addition.

| If that rumour is correct would we not have to offload an overseas player to accommodate him on the quota?

Washbrook for me has been the biggest surprise. The mans a machine and far better with ball in hand than i ever gave him credit for. He is one of those players that you can see does all the little things right.'"
A new name for Wash-brook "The Machine" or "The Washing Machine" as he puts players through the wringer he he...

| Can't see that being true. We've got quality second rowers in the shape of Ali kirmo walshaw Mariano snd southern and in Ellis aiton wood wildie and Davey plenty of cover at 9 too. Obviously not all of those will be retained but I don't think Kirke or mcshane would really improve us

| McShane? Ellis, Aiton and Wood are the hookers next year - no room for him. And I thought Amor could only choose between Leeds and Wakey?

| And Kirke is garbage. He's the worst forward in the Leeds squad and would fill the same role for us.

The devil will be in the detail of the leeds/Wakefield contract, according to the press Kyle will choose, that would rule Hull out also based on the fact that Kyle has contracts with both clubs, if Leeds dont want him he has a contract with Wakey, well thats how its portrayed in the presss!

| Think a few of you need a reality check regarding Southern, the bloke turned down NRL offers to come to here and more money, he did it for a challenge and certainly not for the money! It cost Steve and his family their savings to come to wakefield, certainly doesnt sound like someone whos come over for a last payday!!
He has been injured, played out of position, taken his pregnant wife away from her Ill mother, had a baby thats been ill, and in the short stints he has played you expect him to be a world beater????
Anyone who watches the NRL knows he can play and is a tough SOB, he is one of the hardest trainers at wakey a few people have told me that.
Give the bloke a chance. I am sure next season we will see a fit Steve Southern that will have settled. If he is not doing he business then he will be the first to put his hand up and admit it.
Im confident a few of you losers will be eating some cold humble pie next season.
by the way all that info has come from the horses mouth.
