Good.
About time we had a team that learnt to handle the game to the limits of what the referee allows.
If you have a problem with this, you are in for a long season, especially when you play teams like Wigan.
You're no longer a big fish in a small pond and you will find that there are times when other teams get more decisions than you, which you probably didn't have in the Championship as you were quite clearly one of the "Bigger" clubs in there.
It happens, learn to deal with it and play smarter - it's all you can do! We've been there and still are when it comes to playing the "Big" teams in SL. |

The fact that Widnes were getting off the tackled player quickly was there to see. The fact that the referee had to call "move" after every Wakefield tackle was also there to see.

The game should not be played to the limits that the referee allows, it should be played to the rules.
If playing smarter means trying to evade the real meaning of the rules then I hope Widnes never learn to play smart.
I have been watching the game of Rugby League for a long time and do regret the passing of sportsmanship to make way for outwitting the referee, be it Thaler or Lauatiti, |
