No bud, more likely to be at Dewsbury, Batley, Fev or York earning £8k per year when he could (with some application and dedication) earn himself a very tidy lifestyle that the majority of us would give our left knacker for.

| I would point out Ryan's poor showing in the MoM results on here. For a player who's made the England side and has such big raps from certain quarters, then he should be winning games. I don't think that comes from the supply he gets as it as much his positional play and his lack of looking for work that costs us. He has the size, pace and power to make the inroads into defences that could change games - and if he ever wants to do anything anywhere, then he has to stand up and show some initiative and leadership - that includes calling for the ball when his side need a lift - like today for instance.

| I think Atkins has got all the physical attributes to be a great centre, unfortunately he hasn’t got the skills to be one.
Maybe he needs them coaching into him, or maybe you can’t educate pork, I’m unsure.
I thought when Tony Martin came to the club there would be a marked improvement, but on many occasions Atkins has been found wanting in both his positional & distribution qualities.
But if he can make it into the England set-up, perhaps I’m been too harsh, but, to be honest, there isn’t that much competition, which doesn’t bode well for the future of the international squad.

And Senior was slagged off for that by many on here! There is no comparison between the two, and casting my mind back, though a little hazy, Senior was better at the same age in his Sheffield and early Leeds days. Atkins has time on his side, he just needs the application and stop believing his own hype and hangers-on.

| From an Atkins point of view, I do think he doubts the skills of others around him over his own skills. He can break the line, of that there is no doubt, but today as is often the case we just don't get the ball to him.
I agree that incident whowe him up but if you are waiting for the ball all day, you are bound to want to keep it whe you get it, especialy if you think you can do something with it.

| Ryan has the strength, power pace and stamina of a potentially great player. What he lacks is the brains and 'craft' of a top player such as Senior, Gidley or our very own Tony Martin. I thought/hoped this would develop under Martins guidance, but obviously not. Sad to say he's not what we need at centre, and even sadder that we don't seem to have the coaching skills he needs to develop his game. I've nothing against him, quite the opposite, - I like the way he runs the ball in and the way he runs when he's cut free, I just feel it might be better for his future and our club if he moved on.

| Atkins is a very average player. Don't believe the Sky commentary team when they call most players world class, they're not. He doesn't seem to know how to pass.

| actually, thought ryan defended ok. no worse than anybody else. thought he ran well but just won't pass the ball. grix had at least one occasion when he could have made good yards and another couple of times when murphy had a clear field. thought murphy went ok today.

| Ryan has hit a bad patch of form there's no doubt about that, lets remember though he has got ability he's shown it in the past for us and you don't get big teams interested in you and represent England if you're a poor player.
I think Ryan is a confidence player and at the moment he's pretty low, having said that though he played his part last week against one of the best teams in the league and taking his try really well.
My slight criticism of him in the past has been him not coming and looking for work, because no matter how your form is there's no excuse for not putting it in. I thought he did put a shift in today though, just made a couple of mistakes. He wasn't alone in that though.
The other factor I take into consideration with Ryan and this applies to our other three-quarters too, is that I think we're short on quality ball-handling backrowers who provide the three-quarters with quality ball.
If you look at the starting back three today, who of Snitch, Wilkes and Henderson could be classed as that? Snitch has been superb this season but isn't that type of player, while Wilkes and Henderson are just about work and the hard yards.
Glen Morrison could be absolutely key next season as I see him as exactly the type of player we need. Dale Ferguson is the closest we have and what he could also learn from Morrison could be absolutely vital.
