I bet our next two opponents are shaking not with fear but laughter at the thought of playing us. I thought Salford looked like a Wakefield team of the past but not present. We are the only team not to win a game after the end of the lockdown, we have the worst attack and defence but Chester just carries on collecting his salary until false pretences because his job description is coach which he definitely is not, well not at Wakefield anymore.

Guess you won’t be watching then?

I watch in the hope that we will turn things around, I admit so far I have been disappointed but not surprised.

It is clear Chester feels no responsibility for our current form, it would appear to be the fault of others. I see he is already making excuses for next season or the club is preparing us for a salary reduction clear out. I know some of you think everything will come good but wouldn’t you expect the club to at least apologise for the poor performances or make some sort of statement. They are quick enough to criticise us if they do not believe we are paying enough into the club I.e. if you ask for your money back this season the club could fold.
We do our bit we buy the season tickets, the shirts etc. but still we face another season of uncertainty apparently, what do we do with the sponsorship and the Sky money.
Yes I can walk away and I may do so but then again how many others may do the same.

It's tough watching Wakefield. No one should choose to support us to see silverware and continuous success. It just isn't going to happen.
But knowing that I follow them anyway because they are my team.
I enjoy the ups and support as best I can through the downs.

PT is correct, if you were choosing a club to support based on a wining ratio and competition success then Wakefield probably would not be your choice. I believe for most people supporting any club, any sport, any person is an emotive choice combining many factors, born local, family history/connections, your mate plays for them, you like the team colours, the club history but just for success that's really football thing in my view, latching on to regular success and not the club or sport.

Quite simple really.
Money.
MC and his team have worked wonders and, no doubt, at huge cost to them, but clubs such as Saints, Leeds, Warrington, Wigan, Hull and even Cas' get gates we can only dream of.
Until the Wakefield public come out in bigger numbers, which let's face it isn't going to happen until we are more successful, or we get a sugar daddy prepared to pump millions in, then we will continue as we have since we entered SL.
