| Quote: Kettykat "If we can create that first 40 against Salford we will give ourselves every chance of a semi finals date . Recreate that second half display or the first half against Leeds and Wigan will have a field day .we are More than capable of causing an upset , they’re certainly not the Wigan of old but are still a well drilled side without brimming with the superstars of yesteryear .Obviously they still have a few quality strike players ,but so have we and having home advantage will make Wigan wary and not take us lightly. Playing five drives and a kick will be manner from heaven for Wigan , and will take a stranglehold on the game .Give it some air and some off the cuff moves ,get amongst them . Its been done to death ,but error /penalties free play is the key to success against one of the best defending teams in the comp. I’m quietly confident on this one , I’m sure Willy will have them fired up and the players will respond accordingly.'"
'Give it some air' and 'off the cuff' do not go with 'error free play'
You have to accept errors if you want to push it but as long as your defense is ready you can do it.

Think under this coaching set up 5 drives and a kick have gone seen more open football at the beginning of this season than in last two year .Even our own fans were saying we were the most boaring team in S L

Challenge Cup

These officials are all highly experienced, respected and beyond reproach, so we are always being told by the powers that be.
Most Rugby league fans may have a different opinion.

| Makes me laugh when refs are announced and you get the posts of oh we’ve no chance now so and so doesn’t like us etc…simple fact is it’s in our own hands…don’t feel sorry for ourselves if things go against us, just get on with it…they all make mistakes…was a shocking decision at Warrington just before half time that mattered not..some stuff went for us against Salford, some against…just be smart with it and don’t feel sorry for ourselves when for spells in games things go against us because they will..

Have to agree
Frustrating as it is at times the refs don't miss tackles, drop the ball or make bad tackles.
Our fate is in our hands not the referees.

I agree.
Apparently the ref against Warrington was categorically cheating against us.....but the ref who missed a forward pass against Salford was fine and just doing his job.

When I say error free I mean silly mistakes , play the balls ,not finding touch , silly drop outs ,not taking the 2 on offer ,obviously slinging a few hail Mary’s will come at a cost , but when they stick boy does it look good

Bit extreme PT.
Missing forward passes is a regular and understandable problem, it’s just part of the game. Although I don’t think the ref cheated in a deliberate way, he did cheat the fans by being incompetent in the extreme.
It’s not that he missed the offence it’s the fact that he chose to make a snap decision on a clearly suspect play when he didn’t have to. There was simply no logical reason for not taking that one to the VR none whatsoever, it was pure incompetence with zero mitigating circumstances.
I’ll put it this way, it was a thousand times harder to get that one wrong yet he chose to do so, total idiocy.
Missing a forward pass is unfortunate but it’s just human error involving an instant decision in real time. There are no options for forward passes, there were plenty at Warrington.

But it's not cheating. It's a mistake. That's the only point I'm making.
You not understanding his decision does not mean he didn't make it with genuine intent.
The forward pass was far more damaging from a Salford point of view.
