| Quote: Eastern Wildcat "No I wouldnt be either. He is also off contract at end of year. Could be a good replacement for Scruton.
Underwhelmed though by Harrison. We have so many back rowers and he hasnt played a single game this year due to injury and to me its just an exercise for Warringon for him to get some fitness back. Smells of Simon Grix in 2015.
If we had an extra signing we would be better with a half back.'"
Agreed. Wouldn't mind Cox or Harrison but not both. If we are looking for a double swoop I wouldn't mind that young halfback Declan Patton on loan for the rest of the year.

| That is worth a shout, Dec Patten.
Don't get me wrong, Harrison is a good player, and just shows where we are with him been linked to us. Had he have been fit, and had we have been light in that position, it would have been a great signing.
Out of curiosity, has anyone heard any more on Felito Mateo. I am sure I read somewhere that the deal could be confirmed this week

| Cox would be good and he has a good punch on him!
Harrison although been injury riddled, could be a surprise package,if he is fit, as he was raved about before his injuries, Cas have had Millington filling in in the halves, why not Harrison?
Mullally could be one for next year, when Leeds have a restructure in the close season.

| Cox is also out of contract I believe, so if everything goes ok, could end up staying.
If we could add Mullally to the squad, our pack next year will look really strong. It could line up something like.
England
Simon
Fitifa
Cox
Mullally
Yates/Walker would expect one of these to make way, then in the back row could have
Kirmond
Tupou
Ashurst
Sio
Mateo
Molloy
Arona
Crowther
Bachelor
Morris

| We are unlikely to have all three of Fifita, Tupou and Mateo.
I do wonder what the intention is with Tupou.
I'd rather keep him if he can stay fit than add another new boy in instead, but he has to have a good off season to get his injuries sorted otherwise he is in danger of not being value for money, as some are already saying. He adds skill to our pack when he's fit a ready but we haven't seen it enough so far.
So it's a fix him or release him for me.

There is the catch 22 PT.
IF he was full fit and able to play 20+ games a season, he wouldnt have come to Trinity in the first place and may well have stayed in Aus.
We usually end up having to either take a gamble on players who are either out of favour or, coming back from injury and it is a gamble.
It's been a long time since we managed to sign an in form overseas player at the top of their game.
Solomona would probably be the lat one and perhaps Poaching before him.
Prior to that you may have to go back as far as Steve Ella.
I know we've had some decent overseas players as well but, not too many and for me, unless they are top quality, we are better off with "English" players who will bust a gut and not get home sick.
Btw, where did Pita Godinet end up going (sorry for my ignorance)

| Godinet is at Manly and played the other week.
I am one who classes him as our 'marquee' signing but playing 20 mins off the bench for less than half a season is not what we want but could he be better 2nd season in?
Decisions,decisions!

Godinet is at Manly now.
Can't see him coming back but I would certainly have kept him. Wish we'd left him at half back instead of trying to break him at hooker.

| Good player is Ben but my only concern is that he hasn't played a game since September last year. Don't know if he's played in the reserves or anything.

| Salford signed Feleti Mateo for rest of season. Wonder if they were in for him like us or just pounced when it surfaced.

And they've signed Luke Burgess. He'd have been a good addition, especially for cover for England and Simon.
