This is so frustrating to watch. Throw it wide and it's easy points.

But Stevo is still talking crap. Blaming Johnstone for the tries out wide when actually it's Wakey not having the right number of players on that side.
Carney corrected him once.
Without the right numbers in front of the ball carrier the winger stays out wide and it allows the centre to score. he covers the centre and a wide pass allows the winger in. Not Johnstones fault at all.

I was expecting a real enthusiastic display for what was a good chance to arrest the rot but it's the same zero intensity rubbish. We will not beat Leigh next week as they will out enthuse us and use their pace out wide to capitalise on our woeful defence - we can't even get the player on the ground with three in the tackle or stop the offload!

I would add that if Webster cannot rouse them to up their game in this second half he needs to go before the Leigh game

It's still their to win but Webster is losing my vote.
If he can't get them up for this he never will.

They need to just move quicker in defence. They are just waiting for them and giving them yards for fun. In the tackle too. They are just walking up the field after contact.

Season won't start until week 23. This is awful to watch. It's almost like they are being told that it's back to basics. One up rugby, no offloads (but when we do we look good) no go forward except Anderson and Simon. And someone cut that bloody braid off big lads hair!

This looks to be the unfittest squad we've ever had in the Super League era. The conditioner must take some of the blame.

It's not just the poor numbering up, there's no slide from the inside pushing out once the balls gone beyond a defender. It just lazy lazy play, the work ethic in the team is awful. Where's the desire to dominate the ball carrier and put him on his back, gaining a slow play the ball. Where's the push up and around our ball players when we're attacking.

Our technique in both attack and defence is crap.
Our defensive system is all over the place, with players jamming in from the outside because there's no slide from the inside, no talk, no comprehension of what each other is doing.
What the hell are they doing all week?

Fair to say that was a disappointing 1st half. I expect improvement in the 2nd and lots of it.
