| I think the word 'adversity' was invented for Wakefield Trinity. After the last 2 seasons no-one could fault John Kear for wanting to go to a 'normal' club. But for me, if he leaves, it could spell the death knell for Wakefield.

| Mr Trinity himself TRB would have words with the Dragons if it meant coaching in the South of France over Belle Vue. If finances got so bad down the line that TRB was the coach mind.
The players will have ribbed JK for it and got on with it. Getting momentum on the field is the hurdle for the club now. A good coach will get the players ignoring the stadium debacle and focussed on the job in hand.

| Slightly O/T perhaps, but I wonder what the Huddersfield fans think of Nathan Brown now he's decided to stay? I mean, it was obvious he wanted to go. He said as much himself. Will his heart still be in the job? Will he have the respect of the players? Or will everyone just be content that they have the services of a decent coach for another season?

In reality it all depends on how he gets on next year. If they have a poor start supporters will naturally get on his back. If they do well there won't be a murmur.

And that's exactly how it should be, yes?

To an certain extent, however, things could go wrong for a variety of reason during a coaches tenure and just because a coach may have been considering his options doesn’t mean he isn’t bothered about his current role.
With regards to Brown, with all the improvement Huddersfield have achieved under his stewardship I would’ve thought he had earned some grace with the supports for a patch of indifferent/poor form.

Totally different to Kear IMO. Brown was going back to Aus and not to one of the Giants competitors and Hudds have been winning more than they lose and competing in pretty much all of their games and playing entertaining rugby

And have spent several hundred thousand pounds more doing and currently sit a whole 5 points above us in the table.
Change the coaches around (if you could afford to) and see what each one gets out of the respective squad / money available!

Not as simples as that IMO. Brown would almost certainly have signed different players, I doubt he would have signed the likes of Kyle Bibb and Gleeson if he had limited resources.
Conditioning is another area where I think we are currently lagging behind the majority of clubs. If there was anyway of persuading Geoff Evans to come back from Odslum, IMO we should be making that a priority, as we have seen in the past the benefit of good conditioning and what it can do.

To be fair it's not exactly helping Bradford right now.
