| A very classy centre and a bit like Jake Webster he's had his share of injuries but they have been different injuries and not the same one re-occurring. Some lovely attacking touches at the weekend but Shenton was swatting him off with ease when Cas were attacking which hasn't been the case in the past.

Very similar player to Shenton IMHO. No special gifts as such but playing in a half decent team is a very good centre who uses his brain. Again like Shenton not quite Saints or Leeds class but very close.
As for his injury record, it happens.

| Let's see if Smith knows a blockbusting centre with nothing to do for a few months.

| If Collis was allowed to go then it is just another crazy decision, I presume Hull must have another player they want to offload onto us.
I am not surprised the club is reluctant to make it official because unlike the rose tinted brigade on here the vast majority of supporters will be less than impressed and see it as another sign of our lack of ambition for staying in SL.

| How can you say letting someone go is a lack of ambition until you know who could replace him?

That's the plan, 3 or 4 players hand picked by B Smith to do a job.
Fresh ideas from players not laboured by the last 6 months of negativity who can enthuse the existing remaining players.

| Why don't we wait and see why he has gone …..perhaps he felt the last injury was one too much.

| You cannot just bring players over from Australia they need visas and we know how long that can take. I guess he took the opportunity presented by Carter to leave, I presume he was not one he was looking to lose but when you say anyone who wants to go can. He stayed when many left so I suppose it is not surprising if he has gone however we are still waiting for confirmation.
I ask the question of those who think his departure is good for the club where are we going to find a replacement. If The standard of our recent signing is anything to go by I fear what we will end up with. I suppose if you are an accountant the net savings on two players salaries compared with what we will be paying Howarth will help the balance sheet but not the long term survival of the club. I know Smith is a good coach but he is not a miracle worker so I hope the club aren't under some false impression that they can reduce the quality of the squad and still survive.
I have been a season ticket holder for over 20 years but like many this will be my last. I will pay on the gate if I can be bothered to go because the way the club is going both on and off the field fills me with great concern which sadly many of you cannot see.

| Do we know what the position is with Collis because the club are unusually silent.

| Think everyone is agreed that Collis on his day is quality.
He's not a centre that comes looking for the ball, he waits for it to come to him.
But unfortunately with the way we are going, it wouldn't matter if you had Inglis in the centre, we are not creating enough to get the ball to him.
If Collis's release frees up coin to get a couple of players who play closer to the action, then that's fine by me.
Got 8 games left before the middle 8, Smith with his knowledge of the game is sure to have a couple of players on the back burner.

I take it you don't know the situation with regards Collis just like the rest of us.
