Sammut looked the muts nuts when he came over from Aus.
I remember watching him playing at MM for crusaders having just stept off the plane and thinking "why can't we get someone like that."
Well we have and for whatever reason he doesn't get a shout.
It was rumoured that he refused to play against the Bulls last year and judging by his revolving door defence in that game, he's never bothered the team sheet too much since.
Has he "peed on the chips" of the other players as a result? I don't know.
I was gutted we didn't have that kind of player, but I'm not bothered now that we have.

Good to read in the same article that MC turned down an approach for McShane. Confirms he's happy with that guys attitude.

Sammut has shown us nothing, so little in fact that I really am gob struck as to why so many supporters are so miffed, personally I think we bought him because he'd weaken the Bulls rather than strengthen us.
As for Godinet, I'm pretty sure he left his old club to come play for us because he was being used as a replacement dummy half rather than a half back, to say we'd have shot ourselves in the foot if he were to leave us for the same reason is an understatement and bordering on criminal.

What evidence do we have that he cannot bring something to the team. He did not play in the majority of our 13 losing game streak. I don't know how some on here can say get rid, surely he should be given a chance what have we got to lose.
I would think Smith would want to make his own decision about the team rather than let the Chairman decide who is or isn't required.

For my money Sammut at stand off Godinet at scrum half Young Jowitt at FB V Leeds they cant do any worse
