Should be a good signing along with Millard if its true! Just hope we don't sign too many as this year we only brought in 2 players so it didn't take much gelling together.

Ty Williams is a winger with the Cowboys, will be 29 in November, played 3 SOO games in 2005, as NRL wingers go I would class him as no better than average, the Cowboys other winger - Michael Bani - would be a better, younger prospect, not the finished article but is rated by Cowboys fans.

I really think Trinity should avoid spending too much money on expensive wingers. They are a luxury and not an integral part of the squad. An average winger will score bucket loads of tries playing off a decent half and centre, a world class winger will score sod all with an average half and centre.

In my mind they need to be defensively sound, safe under the high ball and have a bit of pace about them, anything else is a bonus.

Morton did well. No real mistakes and took his try well. Also did a great tackle on Louie Anderson when he look certain to score

Couldn't agree more. Think we have more than enough youngsters who can play on the wing rather than 'wasting' an overseas spot and extra cash on a winger.

As for Morton he looked sound in defence, looked for work up the middle and performed very well overall.

Regarding Millard. Ive been over in New Zealand for the last month so ive been getting their edition of the league express...think its called 'league weekly'. Anyway it had a ins and outs section for each NRL club and it had Millard as coming to us! (nothing about Ty Williams though) It also claims Wigan are signing Carl Webb, so it looks like Cowboys are losing another prop.

Cheers for up date nurl_biff, things are going well on transfer front, this season for the Wildcats, getting the signings done early, so we can gel the players quicker.

Ray Cashmere possibly wanting out of Salford according to the report too. Shame we couldn't tempt him - that would make for a blockbuster pack if we could! Broughy could play in his dinner/court suit every week.
