I didn't think we'd have a chance at retaining Max, this is great news.

I think the reason we have is injuries. He’s a good full back but keeps getting these nightingale lay offs.

Sam Eseh absolutely needs to be the next signed up on a dual contract. In a couple of years he will really shine imo.

Just what we were saying , reality is we’ve actually lost some of our best young prospects for not a lot of money , shaw , batchelor , Murphy being the ones that really sting.

On a semi related why did we swap hall for dagger ? Talk about short term action.

Dagger is an out and out full back, who if max stays fit is going to end up on loan somewhere.

Lynne langi Gaskell are all well over 30 and realistically 2 of the 3 won’t(or shouldn’t be with us next year ) yet we give away a player coming to his peak who we have virtually no long term cover for

And we got rid of Hampshire who could have covered nearly every position and done a good job compared to what we signed and ended up with i've really lost all faith with this club now.

Just a bit of humility from our CEO and a few decisions made without personal feelings getting in the way and the team line up could have been far more attractive

Apart from Hall, who else are you blaming on Carter?
Murphy was not staying with an offer from NRL.
Batch went of his own accord and was already looking the year before.
Maybe Hampshire but I think that's more the price he put on himself.
Shaw and Croft were offered contracts but would rather take the money and not play. I guess we could have offered more but that would have limited others coming through.
Ayden probably a Hampshire thing and being with an agent who didn't want to work with us, maybe because if Carter, maybe the other way round but he still wouldn't get into the starting 17 you name.

Both Law and Pratt are better than Croft.

And 13 of the squad you name are with us now. Why would they be any better than current team.

It's easy with hindsight but keeping Hampshire would have meant we wouldn't have lost Hall.

But equally, as he was out injured for longer than Jowitt we may still have had to do the deal and had even more players on the sideline.

What has Carter done that caused Murphy to do his ACL?
