You forgot the awful Golden Point Klav?

No as they could still draw if they both draw a blank in the extra 10 mins.

They could both lose their next game and then draw with each other but that would still need us to win 2 games to be above both.
If Wigan beat Saints tonight then they mathematically still have a chance of finishing top (although I guess that scenario doesn't bode well for us on Monday). You could see them then going on to put 30 past KR and damage their PD.
Toulouse don't really have anything to play for against Hull other than pride, but we know they can play, and that Hull are pretty dire at present so who knows there.
It's all ifs and buts at the minute. I could see us winning 1 game and finishing above one of them, but I don't see us winning both games.

| Saints win tonight and they will get the LLS, so may be tempted to rest a few against us which would put us in with a good shout of a win. Having said that I would prefer to beat a decent Saints side to make up for the Golden Point defeat a few weeks ago.

That would be a huge positive.
The only chance we have is if we win both and they lose both, we can't control that last bit but we can go out to win.'" I suppose it wouldn't be bad for a useless, gutless, pathetic, team with no nouse or ability and a coach not up to the job, who certain people wanted sacking and throwing on the scrap heap, resulting in him losing his livelyhood and maybe his career.

We may have a scratch side ourselves, Dave and one or two others may still be partying on Monday. The way they looked like last like night, indicates a mamouth session was looming.

Didn't bother you when you were calling Chester gash every two minutes did it. Forgot about that didn't you. To take the high ground you need to be on it to start with so pack in the faux moralising, you really don't have the credentials. Oh, and I never suggested we sacked him.
Don't expect to hear from you for a while

Flip flop flip flop. You were wrong again the team do have ability and nouse and they're not gutless and useless, why don't you admit it. Is the coach still not up to the job like you kept saying or have you changed your mind AGAIN. I was correct before your a frit'"
Give it a rest, it's getting a bit boring now. PM me if you must and let people get on with the thread.

Didn't you start a thread saying Poching can't coach.
I know you didn't say sack him, but that does imply you didn't want him to stay.

Sure did and at the time it needed asking and I’m still not totally on board.
Your right I didn’t say sack him, utterly pointless even if that’ had been what I wanted.
All I did was ask people if they thought WP couldn’t coach at SL, a fair question. Funny thing is that at the time most agreed including some who backtracked quicker than an MP.
However what’s really ridiculous is the idea that any thing I or anyone else says on here could lead to Poching losing his livelihood. If he does it will be totally down to him and his players as it always is.
If Mopsey thinks otherwise then he needs to go around to Chris Chester and apologies to him and his family straight away. The bloke has more faces and identities than a town hall clock and a few on here can back that up.
I’ll make my judgement on WP FWIW after the first ten matches of the new season. He’s got a lot of space to bring in new blood so it should be fun.

You didn't ask. You were adamant as were a lot of others.
I think I've been pretty steady in my views.
I said I like Poching and thought he could turn it around. I'd go as far as to say not many coaches can do what he's done. Plenty have failed.
There is no 10 games for me. He gets a full season.
Nearly all of his signings so far have looked good to me and even Butler is starting to look the part.
I look forward to what he can do in the recruitment this year even though he has the limitations all coaches have at Belle Vue.

| To be fair to Mopsey and all the others who were saying it, Chester was rubbish!
He benefited from a perfect storm early on, Brian Smiths recruitment and strict regime set it up nicely for a more lackadaisical Chester to reap the rewards. He also benefited from a number of other clubs having very poor seasons, rebuilding & coaches that didn’t work like Cunningham at Sts. Sts, Wigan, Leeds, Warrington, Catalan, Huddersfield all went through a couple of seasons of poor form for one or more reasons, that allowed the likes of us, Cas & Salford to threaten the top 6. Kear then shored up the Chester regime for a season but once he left there was a speedy decline and deterioration.
So unlike Willie Poching who has a very decent winning % stretching back to late last season, Chester had plenty of time to prove to everyone (almost) how utterly awful he was as a coach.
