It doesn't work like that.
RFL rules are that we have to tell those we are not offering contracts to by a particular date. Think it was end of May in previous seasons but that seems early.
We then have to tell those that we are considering by a similar date, so they can look elsewhere if they want in the meantime
Then we have the group we want to retain. If they don't accept the offer they go into the middle group and can look around.
Can't remember the dates but they are quite early on to give everyone a chance.
There is no "wait and see if new coach wants you" They are effectively told there isn't a contract and you can look around, but we may still make a bid. |
