| I'll bet that signature bottom lip is really stuck out this morning. I'm sure he'll not be short of offers.

| Leeds's loss, not sure what your supposed to do when half your players are out injured at different times for most of the season.

Focus has shifted to Ford apparently
re McDermoott, don't teams usually wait till Wakey beat them before sacking the coach?

| Brian’s done a world class job at Leeds
Apart from injuries let’s remember that he’s had a raft of significant retirements in Sinfield, Leuluai, Burrow, Peacock, McGuires moved on and Hardaker imploded. They’ve also allowed JJB and Ablett to grow old without adequately replacing any of these players like for like.
He’s overseen the successful introduction of Walker, Oledski, Smith, Golding, Singleton, Handley, Lilley, Walters, Newman, Ward & Sutcliffe to name Just a few juniors.
Hes been a great coach and despite current form I can’t see the justification for his sacking.

He's certainly the best coach that they've had in the SL era and by some distance, they may never repeat the level of success that he has brought to the club.

With the exception of Walker and [umaybe[/u Singleton and Ward these guys just haven't been up to the standard of the previous "Batch" of academy graduates. Would Handley, Lilley and Walters get in any other Super League team?

| Doesn't matter what he's done in the past, he's got a very different side to when he had most of his success and failing to recruit properly has stung them, the young lads they've brought through from the academy don't seem to be ready yet.

| I heard a crazy rumour a few days back that BM was going to be sacked and Dennis Betts was going to take over in the interim whilst they employed a full-time replacement. I very much doubt it would happen but can you imagine the reaction from Leeds fans
I wonder if they will come after any current SL coaches? Powell, Chester?
I am sure Powell said something along the lines of wanting the chance to go back to Leeds at one point in his career a few years back, as he `stepped down`from his position there so early in his coaching career. I wonder if they could entice him away from Castleford.

| It would kill Cas if he went. They need to hold on to him at all cost until they are ready.
I can see McDermott going to Wigan but I can't see an obvious replacement at Leeds. Sinfield hasn't got the experience.

Most things have a price and Powell could certainly do a job there.
He turned Cas into a decent side in a relatively short space of time, without spending a fortune as well.
Our friends over t'common will be getting nervous.

He's already coached Leeds once before and that didn't work out well, I don't reckon he'll feel the need.
