| But treading water is better than the alternative.
I feel for you Poynton. No answer though. Just have to ride it out.

| When MC took over the reins, it was made clear that this season was about trying to survive in SL.
At the time, the fans were told that players would be sold to balance the books but, that we would be competing in SL.
Also, we were informed that the number of staff was down to the bare bones but, that the people that remained at the club were working very hard to keep the job going.
There is no doubt that there are some short comings with various aspects of the clubs administration and we (as supporters) always appear to be getting asked for more but, the reality is that unless we have more supporters, the one's that remain come under more pressure to give more.
Following the near collapse at the end of last season,I know plenty of people that have stopped coming to games or, who are only attending home games because of the endless off field problems and it has to be said that for all of the positive work done by Glover in boosting crowds (or at least announcing higher attendances), the damage done by the last regime was massive.
However, the choice is simple:
Either, continue supporting the club and hope that we can compete in SL or, find something else to do on Sunday afternoons.
Finally, I think MC does deserve our support. The guy has kept his word on his promises and appears to be doing a good job in balancing the books which, long term, is the key to survival !

| MC is busy promoting the club on social media correctly.
Wasn't he told not to come on here posting by lots of fans?
Seems he can't win!
I also worry about the club.....it's because we care & are passionate!
There's no shame in that!

| I cannot say my feelings are same as the OP, I have other things in my life but I do know why he feels that way.
All it takes is a little consideration for the supporters by, say a fortnightly newsletter from the club, updating those who care (and aren't in the know) what current issues are.
The Peter Fox business is a prime example!

| I think the opening post contains a lot of nit picking and really over eggs the pudding.
My concise and relevant summary would be "Agar out!"

| The opening post makes some valid points.
I am also a supporter of over 50 years and have never felt so 'low' as regards the future of the club.
After the 'heady days' of the 60's we at least managed to be relatively competitive throughout the 70's and 80's.
Since then we just seem to stumble along.
What really baffles me is the inability to attract investors of real substance.
As we all know the potential is there , all we need is some success.
Why cannot potential investors see the potential?
Little things do mean a lot and despite the 'cutbacks' etc it is not really very hard for someone to respond to an email.
Things like that are unforgivable.
Having said all that it is 'in my blood' and I will always be a fan.

I tend to agree with your post but regarding investment, the only slim chance we have of enticing investors is a winning team, I'd guess Cas have a lot more investment lined up with the team doing well than they had lined up in the Millward days!

| And yet within the month with wins against London and Bradford we will be safe and worry free. Lose however, prepare for meltdown on here.

Then Bradford get four points back? Back to meltdown mode.

| Quote lampyboy="lampyboy"I have mixed feelings tbh. On the one hand I wouldn't expect anything else from the club and on the other the silence could be worrying.
The clubs never been the best at keeping its supporters in the loop. The main problem seems to be that M C couldn't keep off the site , but now hes vanished. The whole thing will will end in one of two ways. We will either be hit with some kind of news that will either shake the foundations or we will wonder what all the fuss was about. On the clubs history , I smell a rat. [u[size=150All we can do is Waite and see.[/size[/u
WE have to trust the owner and hope the actions taken will result favourably'"
Is that a cryptic clue?

Indeed, I’ve only been actively following the club for the last 15 years but in that time other than a few occasions its generally been crap, but I have looked forward to game after game (even with Messrs Roe and Smith in charge). However the presence of Agar is really waning my enthusiasm for the club (not the sport, I thoroughly enjoyed the Leeds-Wigan match last Saturday).
I don’t have any issue with Michael Carter, I realise the club is/was in a bad way and although there is an abundance of things that could be improved I accept that right now the club are running with skeletal staff. Hopefully if/when the club are on a stronger financial footing I hope the off filed side of the club will drastically improve, similar to what the Glover era brought but with more substance.
Ultimately though unless there is some sort of major investment or the Wakefield public get behind the club in any great number we’ll always be bumping along living hand to mouth staving off the next crisis.
