I'd prefer Raleigh to Wilkes - for no other reason than I think Raleigh is the better player and that is what it's all about.

It's a weaker Hull side from last year, sensible rugby like was shown at WR in the 1st half should see us through this fixture. No danger.

Tim Smith in fine form, all is good.

Certainly with the players we have out, as long as you have enthusiastic defence, don't make too many errors and are patience you will win the game comfy.

Its just the type of makeshift side that we've seen win games against the odds many times.

This will be a tough close game.

Fully agree this will come down to coaching motivation and who wants it most.

It's very similar to the Cas game.
We're playing a side that is out of sorts and if we have the right mental approach, the 2 points are there for the taking, plus Hull have plenty of injuries.
If we do the hard stuff and stay patient in attack, it should be 2 more league points and a "Happy Easter" all round.

Come on Trin !

Look at the Hull squad they have some real quality in there especially the pack. If the forwards are firing and they sort their pivots out we'll be in for a very tough afternoon. We need to bring our A game for the full 80 mins to win this. Home advantage and confidence from Cas win will help. Raleigh for Wilkes in 17 for me, give Wilkes a rest for next match. Didn't know Mariano injured ? Mellars must be out performing him at second row eusa_think.gif

Mariano did take a knock at Saints, so who knows if he's fit or just not selected.

Hull have their backs well and truly against the wall. In spirit they will be fired up for this one - in body they may not be so much. In either case, without half-backs, they should struggle to post points - but we need to have our 'A' game on show for this one!

I'd say Lineham and Briscoe are their biggest threat, although Briscoe looks totally out of sorts this season. Whiting also needs watching - he has the ability to drag them back into contention during tough games.

Hopefully their lack of natural halfbacks will stop the ball being spread out wide as quickly. Should make it an easier game for the back 3 when FC kick too.

Still plenty of ability in the Hull team, as mentioned Lineham & Briscoe are as good as any pair of wingers around. Guys like Lynch, Houghton & Tickle are quality players, they should not be under estimated. It will be a tough one and we aren't good enough to beat teams like Hull without being somewhere near our best.

I believe that with a bit of confidence from the cas match we should be ok. If it comes down to motivation from the coach, I think we will have the edge. Agar will still want to prove a point!
