Yeah we'd have brought in some oversea's players, oh wait

| Encouraging Jeffries to go was a very poor Rugby decision, as was getting rid of Millard. With regards to the topic the most important thing we have to do this season is make sure that we keep our full time Junior staff full time ( no other Championship club does at this time ) and give them the ammo to keep our best young players in the system and recruit quality young players.

Agreed. This will hopefully be the cornerstone of the team going forward with the young guys progressing into the 1st team playing Championship rugby and then hopefully in 2015 if we get the nod a number of them will be SL ready.

| I reckon releasing BJ will have saved his wage for a good half season. The club will have saved at least £30K

agreed. this is what worries me about our new saviour. it is early days. very early days, but imagine if we'd have got another two wins under our belts, the rfl's decision would come under far more scrutiny should they boot us out next week.
i don't understand why we didn't keep bj (out of form or not), and try to do the best possible on the field. was this purely a cost saving measure by mr glover? or has he been told for sure that we're in/out and is simply not interested in this season?

But as we keep being told that finances are not really an issue what is the saving of £30k compared to being further up the table and making the RFL's job harder to justify kicking us out??

if we do, history will not remember the way we were pushed out, but people will say "ah well they were bottom so they were the worst club".'"
true to an extent , the goal posts are so far extended for some and narrowed for others that fair play is not something that comes into the mix .
armature rugby as a lot more to offer and a lot more passion , as does national league.

| I don't remember Jeffries often running the show for us he was good with a decent scrum half to play off but that was about it. The fact that he has had a few good games for Bradford says more about his attitude than his talent. No point keeping a player who can't decide if he wants to play or not.

I also don’t remember Jeffries been some sort of defensive stalwart who could've prevented an average of 52 points being conceded in each of the last five matches.

| Wakefield have more to play for than Crusaders if you ask me because I think that the desire not to finish bottom is greater in the Wakey camp than it is for Crusaders so I am confident of Wakey turning up well against them.

How many times have we turned up to games that really mattered to us and still blown it!!!!
London this year: Them on a massive losing streak, us needing a win to jump above 'em.
Bradford and Salford last year: Both teams on losing streak us with a chance of top 8.
I'm sure we've had Hull and Shudds do the same to us in the recent past.
This is the usual script:- Team on massive losing streak kick Wakey's ar5e.
