Cas were looking to do a similar weekly draw but picking four numbers between 1 to 31 was deemed too hard. They are looking at one where they can pick their lucky numbers by counting their fingers. so anywhere between 1 and 12 then.

I totally agree. If Ted Et al had spent 500000 on Belle Vue a year ago we might not be "favourites" for the drop.
I think people had unrealistic expectations about the meeting. If ground improvements like this were announced without the hype and anticipation I think most would be delighted.
We've been lucky to find someone who is willing to spend "their kids inheritance" on what will hopefully just be demolished in 18 months time when we move to Newmarket.
We all owe this guy thanks not a slating.

Before I fill in our forms i just wondered what would happen? Has mr glover said he will do these upgrades at belle vue of we dont get a licence? and has he confirmed that he can go ahead with them even though i thought we only had a lease for a year as we were going to barnsley?. does anybody know?

They have said they will look at other options if we don't get the licence - i.e. the full upgrade wouldn't happen (no need if we're not in SL).
Barnsley is still an option - depending on what the RL want us to do.
The future of BV has to be secured as part of this process - IF we are to stay there and develop it. 1873 are trying to buy the ground back - but only at the right price for them!
