I used to bump in to Brian quite a bit round the village and talk rugby. He always gave me the impression that Ben was his lad.

I can confirm Ben is Brian’s son, they are from Crofton. Ben is my dad’s cousin, unfortunately Brian isn’t with us anymore but his legacy lives on. Ben’s brother John still players for Stanley Rangers- in the masters.

That said 120 or so games in his 5 years over here isnt bad, when you compare against Kelepi over a similar timescale.'"
Linnet was a real threat up until a couple of seasons back but has fallen off a cliff during 2023 IMHO. Seemed to corresponded to him shaving those tell tale grey locks off.

Rovers don't have a non fed spot, so it they signed him from you, they would have to release a non fed player.

On his day a devastating powerhouse , but we only saw glimpses of those early performances in the later years or so , through injuries and our own lack of quality as a team more recently.

| Tanganoa based on his recent injury problems is a bottom half SL, top half championship player, given the on field improvements of HKR, and their obvious ambition for silverware, he would be a bit of a backwards step. Do I think he would do well for us in championship ? If injury free he would be fantastic. Would I be worried if he doesn't resign? No not really

Hull KR have the luxury of playing in burst off the bench and having other players who can cover his defense. He'll go well for them.
Griffin is a better option for us in the back row

Griffin and Tanginoa are an even better option for us in the second row.

I'd rather have Griffin and Pitts.

| We need to get real, a player of Tanganoa quality is going to want to play SL, should be playing SL and will be of interest to all SL clubs. If his agent can't get him a SL club then he needs to bin his agent. We have to remember where we have to shop now, we are not having a look in Harrods we are walking around car boot sales and outside markets looking for a hidden gem.

Yep. Tanginoa would be the best forward in the championship, bar none. Yes he has some issues with his lateral defence against top quality players but he hits hard and is as destructive a runner as there is. He should be playing super league and sadly its sounds like he will be but i’d have very much liked to have kept him.
And yes he has had one bad year this season with injuries but prior to that he’d hardly missed a game injured since joining in 2019.
