Really happy with the convincing win after watching astons pre match interview the other day i felt he like alot of there fans he was cocky, ,(maybe just me missreading) yes they been doing wellwell but not really played anyone decent

Still clunky but just too powerful. More than happy with the win. Onto Bradford next week, no injuries that you could see but rotated a few.

I thought it was brute force as opposed to skill that got us on top. Gale was very good tonight and so was Griffin. Lino poor again and I thought Thackrey for Sheff was excellent he did some really clever stuff

They really struggled to handle Griffin early on, and when I say struggled, it was like a group of young boys trying to tackle a man. I thought we went through spells of being really aggressive in defence with Great line speed, we seemed to go in and put of that through the game but it's great to see as it's something I've never seen much off from a Wakefield side. All the props were immense again, punching holes with pretty much every drive. Lino, I agree looked poor again, his play selection is way off, he doesn't seem to know when to pass when to run or when to kick... I don't think he knows himself until the last second, it confuses everyone around him.

Just on Lino, it's quite telling when so many people are picking out poor performances when we are thrashing teams.. I really hope he can pick his performances up and prove me wrong, but at this moment in time it would be a disaster to go into SL with Lino as a starting half.

His discipline seems to be off too. In closer games that could really cost us.

Sheffield played the more “expansive” rugby but couldn’t handle our pack. Uele is turning out to be an absolute unit.

I actually thought we played quite well in comparison to otjer games this year by not switching off and letting teams back in.

There was just that spell between Griffin getting forced out of play and Gales big hit on Bishop just prior to our second try

Lino got 10 for throwing ball away after knock on. Sheffield played some really good stuff and to me was one of our best performances and if we had not been on our game might have struggled. Griffin was awesome tonight best player on field. Their halves played really well Ashton and Thackery. To me Sheffield have been the best team we have played so great result,

No, Lino I think got a shove and in a petulant response threw the ball which hit a Sheffield player on the back of the head. Stupid really.

Jowitt got binned for doing the same thing against the Bulls I think…

Except watching the game back Jowitt actually missed the player with the ball so was kind of funny he got binned for throwing the ball at the floor half heartedly.

Lino unfortunately was far more clear cut.

For me that was a potential banana skin put to bed in great style, especially after Eagles 54-0 drumming of Barrow This team is still in its infancy ,when you think how many games they have been together for and will only get better the more games we get under our belts . Sheffield have been going really well, scoring plenty and conceding very few points.
It was an excellent performance.
The stadium was new but, too small, too small and despite having the main stand, it was no better than going to Siddal.

Lino is still getting some criticism about his passing. I confess I was pretty vexed last week.

But the one guy that seems to get him is Griffin.
That double pump seems to go wrong, unless it's Griffin catching it.
Since Fev mistake they have clearly worked on that and it led to a try again for Griffin this week.

I do wish Lino was better, but their partnership is pretty good.

Lino is a 95% player in my book but I’m sure he wants to be 100%. For whatever reason he can’t find that 5% on a regular basis. If he could he’d be devastating. At nearly 30 must be driving him bonkers as the clock ticks.

I don’t think he’s a naturally dirty player.

I couldn't go to the match, however I have looked at the tries on you tube, the recording seems to be from the ref & lines man/woman Rfl recording ? Will a trin one be done as the ground probably has no tv tower etc ????

Thought Griff was MOTM, but Galey, Caleb, The Roof and Ky wern't far behind.
Controlled the game much better, and they didn't really have an answer to our forwards and the quick play the balls.
Great result and onto Bradford we go.

He’s right, all contenders well beaten. Even the Fev game was weather related else we’d have won that one easier. Imho
