| Quote PopTart="PopTart"My point being, that isn't the same as him blocking the takeover or refusing to go.
That's him saying he would if asked, but it isn't his choice.'" do you know pop tart, your a mod on here but it seems you have one agenda to stamp on any dissent or bad feeling or different view point to yours. I simply don't get it it's as though these days you are constantly at your screen and told by someone what to put. Defending this lot after what they have done to the club smacks of desperation. I admire your loyalty but they taken us to the abyss with no guarantee of a way back and a mountain of debt. Let's hope its done and dusted and signed off this week.

| Quote MOPSEY LIVES ON="MOPSEY LIVES ON"so basically you think we are in a great position to service the council loan, covid loan, put a competitive team on the field, pay their wages pay all our bills, whilst taking A significant cut in funding from sl, a drop in crowds, a drop in merchandise and a drop in sponsorship. I.never mentioned anything about loans being a bad thing at all. Interesting that people mention an asset, the stand, unless new supporters are attracted to our club then its just moving the current ones into it, also if you can't pay debt you usually sell the asset but we as a club can't sell the asset under the ground buy back so its pretty worthless realy. We're in a very difficult situation if these talks fail to complete this week.'"
Would imagine the monthly re payments on these loans will be quite high, and will be a dent to the budget, with relegation.
I've heard the re payments on the loan for the upgrade will be about double what it was when we paid the loan to the BOI, and thats without the COVID loan

| Quote PopTart="PopTart"My point being, when I've explained how the accounts work, I still get the same question a few days later.
The loss in particular is 2022, so has already been handled. It isn't something to now handle.
He implies having loans and donations are a bad thing, but they don't have to indicate us having no money, they just wanted more to make things easier.
The members donations of £1k and £500 were not desperation. If they hadn't had it, we just wouldn't have done the extras that we did do. It didn't go towards paying a tax bill or anything.
And why should they explain? No other board does with any other club. If they did, they'd just get more questions like the ones above.
Personally, think they are better keeping quiet and just sorting it our the best they can.
I remember saying years ago when Carter was on here and people started moaning. If you have someone willing to share and include you, and you then pick fault at every turn, you'll lose that access......which of course is exactly what happened.'"
The statement you make - The loss in particular is 2022, so has already been handled - is very bold. If true that is some serious financial investment. I don't suppose you can let us know where the investment came from, was it the directors increasing their loans, was it a secret sponsor who didn't want any fuss.

| Let's also not forget that Mick Carter is definitely on his way. Love him or loath him, there is no getting away from the fact he has put quite a bit of cash in over the years. Plus his dad recently put £300K in, which was a brilliant gesture.
Meanwhile Minards has put nothing like that in and doesn't have the funds to do so even if he intended. If he is left running the ship on his own, we won't get through to next season.
We also have another director that gets very little publicity. John Allott who is a great bloke. John has also put far more into our club than Minards ever will. John doesn't want the limelight, he just loves the club. However I believe he is also happy to walk away. Minards could be in a very lonely position quite soon, and that is exactly why he needs mates like poptart

I can't explain this any more slowly......just like Carter and Allott, Minards has said he will give up his shares too.
Am I typing in Dutch or something by mistake?

Which question?
I'm only giving my opinion. I only know how to read or listen to existing info. That's why it's frustrating.

I assume you mean this one.
What I mean is, a loss on accounts in 2022 doesn't mean we have no money. It means we took less in than we made up to that day.
We may well be bankrupt for all I know. What I'm trying to explain is that a loss on annual accounts over a year ago isn't an issue today. We've paid people and had investment and had more income.
They say we will make a loss this year as well but much has changed since these accounts.
So I'm not saying a loss isn't an issue. But that loss has no relevance to whether we have cash now. You need more up to date info for that.

The playing squad this year is probably a big indicator as to how that may have been handled.

We took less in than we made is a new concept !!! a trading loss I think means we spent more money than we took in and the effect is that you do run out of cash. Just like any household knows, so a trading loss in 2022 is very relevant unless you have someone to pay money in to cover the loss, or 2023 is a big profit making year, sadly the directors have already advised that 2023 will be another big loss.

| My point of view is that we would be stupid not keeping jm on for at least a year. He will know exactly the ins and outs of the club and img. For me he would be the glue that holds everything together whilst new owners hopefully get up to speed. Running businesses and professional sports clubs are two different animals. Anyone with sense doesn't throw away knowledge.
