Tbf, social media was nothing like it is today at that particular point in time. No doubt, if it were, he would have come in for a bit more stick.
Ironically, with the club on a more even financial footing, many fans believe we should be spending big, even if we dont have the money to do so.
Unless we get a super wealthy owner, this just isnt going to happen.
As a club now, compared to where we were when Carter took over, the difference is unbelievable. Nobody should forget that.

It baffles me. I know sometimes supporters groups become the preserve of little Napoleons like the old supporters group, and become a huge hinderance in many ways. But none of those people I mentioned and a fair few I didn't have huge egos. It's a massive missed opportunity IMHO but we are all different and see things differently I suppose.

For example this North Stand issue. So we have not got the money to go all the way, I can accept that. So why not start an appeal to the fans to raise whatever is needed to complete it all the way. I agree it will take time, maybe a few years to get the money coming in, but if nothing else it take peoples minds off it and gives us something to aim for.

Maybe that's exactly what will happen, so I could be being unfair, but personally I was hoping for such a fan based initiative to occur 18 month ago but nothing as of yet.

Well said, getting fed up of all this drivel about players leaving, we have a match to win. Many of our problems on the field over the last few seasons have been as a result of an unprofessional attitude from the players who had fallen in love with themselves, all this back slapping party time stuff because a couple of highly paid players are leaving is a symptom of that unprofessional attitude. The club are 100 % correct in not announcing anything until the job is done and the season finished. Players need to concerned about winning matches rather than getting a good send off from fans.

Memories are short unfortunately for fickle fans ,who suddenly see miller as the new messiah , because we’ve won a few ,forgetting all the games he was below par or bang average . If he stays he stay if not we move on and that’s the same for all the players that seek their fortunes elsewhere. The only ones for me who are leaving this time around and have been consummate professionals is Arona from our overseas contingent as well as Tupou , never once have I heard anything bad or disruptive in both their off and on field time with us , head down and got on with it , whereas big Dave craved the limelight and threw the dummy out on more than one occasion. By any standards we’ve been below par and here’s hoping that big shake up that’s around the corner with give everyone a kick up the jacksy and we come out fighting from the word go next season

At the end of the day, I just wish Wakefield Trinity could be a lot more open about matters. If we get out priced by another team, well that is just one of those things

Earlier in the season it looked like the whole team had retired (apart from Tini and two bags of skin and bone on the right edge).

It could be utter poop, but someone I do value info from says he has signed for Cas, but is desperately trying to get out of it.
