Big gamble though, if we just went into the 2020 season with two recognised halves. With Reynolds and Hampshire gone, you would like to think that one of the incoming players would be a half back.

Wasn't Max playing 7 for the reserves towards the end of the season. Clearly a work in progress but does anyone know how that went?

Max has played a lot in the halves throughout his development, he knows how to pick a pass and seems to do a decent job of organising so could be an option for us as cover. I would argue that he played his best rugby when at Centre for the academy, sadly I feel he lacks that bit of pace to be a SL centre.

On the pitch, I'd have no problem with Sam Williams
But there's a reason he isn't still at the club.
