Friday should have been the decider of the Rocky saga - we need him for next season; I'm even prepared to overlook him telling my son to eff off on Saturday night in response to "well played Rocky lad."

He has proven beyond any doubt that he's a tremendous utility player - wherever he plays, he's heavily involved in everything we do that's any good.

I'm not especially d about it and neither is he - it was a walk-by "well played Rocky lad" in a crowded bar, late on a Saturday night; could have been misheard, misinterpreted or clouded by booze. He thought it was funny - I found the 2am text to tell me about it significantly less funny, since I was fast asleep like a responsible adult.

We've decided that if he stays and plays like that for us every week, he will volunteer to be verbally abused whenever necessary.

Two things on a positive note.

Hirst was ok as a filler, his replacement Tangata is a first on the teamsheet player for me - so already a vast improvement for next year.

Even more so for Tangles who for me is our best SR this year and miles better than Horo for me.

Green looks far better than England who I assume he is covering for. I like England but as PB said he’s struggling now, a shadow of the player he was. Can he get it back? Don’t know but if we can sign Green he’s a big lad with a big future.

Escare, for me a luxury but he’s definitely turned up for us so if he wants to stay and we want him, no issues from me.

Sadly not - he's bloody 20, which has few advantages other than being able to go for a pint after the game!

No mate, Tangata was a straight swap for Hirst, but unlike Hirst I'd have him in my starting 17 every time.

Tangle is Tanginoa and as I say him even more so as a starter in the S/R for me.

Pretty certain he means Tangata and I would tend to agree, after a steady start he is looking good now, a full pre season in a full time environment will do him the world of good and I would be tempted to sign him for next season. Only downside is he is on the quota!
