Slightly,icon_smile.gif , I don't know where he gets only 2500k Wakey fans from or 3k with corporate. I certainly didn't see nearly 1500k Salford fans the other day. Tbh I didn't see 100.

2500 home fans in the ground plus 500 in corporate = 3000, the because it wasn't on Sunday afternoon, was a bit cold out and on TV then perhaps 500season ticket holders did not attend but would have been counted so thats 4000 plus 200 from Salford ( think Salford pre sold 100 and approx 100 bought at gate )

I and many other Cas fans don't mind the parking at the common, its all part of the match day experience that we've come to enjoy over the years. Its not a long walk and seeing old friends both Cas and Wakey and enjoying a bit of banter is a good lead up to the game. It would be worth some investigation on the weather forecast the day before the Trin games as I'm sure a bad (rainy) forecast would put away fans off knowing they would be at the mercy of the weather gods.
Not sure about the attendances during the Glover era but all I will say is that during that time there were always people at the turnstyles offering dirt cheap tickets to Cas fans who were going to pay on the gate

It'd be interesting to see exactly how many season ticket holders couldn't attend because of the factors already listed. I know 2 of my mates couldn't go i usually go with because of work, so there must be quite a few in that situation and even those without a season ticket that might have gone if it had been on another day.
I know there's nothing we can do about it due to SKY calling the shots and tbh the better we get as a team, we'll be on SKY more. I know clubs get money for being on TV but it seems a bit of a win/lose situation for the Club.

500 out, so perhaps 3000 home fans, 500 in corporate, 500 no show, but counted, season ticket holders plus 200 Salford fans gives us the 4200 crowd.
Does not help when we have Yorks v Lancs side on a week day evening, definitely puts people of travelling , M62 is so unpredictable that am sure away fans are easily tempted to watch on TV.

To be fair, if you're gonna pick games to be on sky, you'd pick Salford and Huddersfield, as the away support wouldn't be much different anyway.

I noticed last year when cas were on in the middle 8s it stung more, as clubs with strong away support were probably down by 500 or so.

Salford, Huddersfield and catalans don't fetch 500 in the first place.

No disrespect of course

Thought the no show season ticket or game ticket weren't counted any more just clicks on turnstiles. We used to count pre ticket sales regardless if they turned up or not but I'm sure it was said we don't anymore. I used to think I was good at estimating the crowd but particularly last season I thought they were more than got announced in a few games. As it stands we have 4000 hardcore support still plenty to work on but plenty of potential getting stadium sorted will help.

Yep I'd say it's about 4,000 I've really no idea how Belly gets it at 2,500. Also aren't season ticket holders fans also? Finally do we really cater for 500 corporates?

Yes season ticket holders are fans and I agree that if we sell a 1000 season tickets that they should all be counted on the gate no matter how many turn up. I understand that Benidorm flats are counted as 500, I think there are approx 120 to 150 clients who are fed and watered on the excellent second floor area then there are the boxes , think there may be 20 boxes each can hold 10 people , these are pre sold for the season so like the season tickets it does not matter ( apart from atmosphere ) if they have 1 person or 10 people in them.

There are 24 boxes that have a limit of 10 on (they doesn't need mean that they are all full with 10 every match day) the 1873 suite has seating for approx 100, with the best will in the world you won't get 150 in the bottom bar so I'd bee surprised if there's 500 unless your counting all the staff.
As for the attendance figures, the numbers under the glover years were never accurate, I reckon there was probs 20% in the ground that weren't even accounted for as it used to be pretty well known you could get in through cats bar for free, hence why it used to be so busy before every home game. I think that the current regime are honest and as such the attendance figures are an accurate reflection of the people that are actually in the ground icon_thumb.gif

There's the hospitality on floor 2 also - 10 tables of 10 diners??

Agree , I thought it was fairly well known that we had probably just over 4000 regulars that come no matter what the game.

I bet MC will be happy come the end of the season, if this years average went up 500 like last year, we wouldn't be that far off the 6k mark then. Let's hope the lads keep doing their thing on the field to see if this growth continues.
