| So my fears at the start of the game were well founded. So much for staying within a score.

| Sounds like the silly penalties crept in again you cannot give this Cas side a leg up like this

| The main issues been ruck speed, it's left us on a number of occasions without any markers and it's allowing Cas to just roll us downfield time after time.
The change really came when the bench rotations happened which wasn't unexpected so why have we been so inept at coping with it.
When we've had field position we've bombed it on about four occasions with poor execution and lack of composure.
Got to get some control in the ruck and play with some control.
The games gone so it's about not getting embarrassed and building some confidence for Monday

| Cad the best team by a mile today so far. Wakey need some sets in the second half.
We look to be playing at half pace and the defence needs to improve 100%.
Slow motion R L it's painful to watch.

| Another thrashing by Cas. 6 League defeats against them in a row (7 if inc the super 8s embarrassment). Defeat against Wigan and it's back to squeaky bum time.

| Very mixed feelings about the game.
We were much better in the second half, probably slightly won the battle up front and quelled their forward power. Gained some respectability and near on doubled the average points that Cas have been conceding and did it at their place which is always a hard place to go.
We conceded 2 tries down the left centre when Tupou was off the field and we played around 60 minutes with either one or both centres missing. Centre positions being filled by a second row/Hooker and a prop, not that Jon a Wells ever mentioned that when Cas went wide and got some success.
Miller and Williams doesn't work or hasn't shown any signs of working so far so I'm not sure why there's such a strong desire to keep trying it when Finn always seems to get us moving and controls the matches better.
Ultimately Cas were the better team on the day but there was signs that with a little more composure and better game management we could have turned the tables on them.

| Just how I see it Avenger...I never expected us to win this game and after the first half performance tipped Cas to get 60.
I think Powell told them that the game was won at half time and had an eye on Monday's game so they eased off in the second half plus we looked a lot more structured when Finn came on and we actually won the second half. Chester needs to realise that Finn is our mid-field general and that the Miller-Williams combination has not worked from day 1. If Williams has any value at all then to me it would be as interchange hooker with Wood, as he offers very little else in either attack or defence.

The only way you would of won is from up and unders and blind luck.
Cas were well below average with ball in hand today, but you lot never looked like scoring from set moves.
Only one I would take from you lot is fat lad

Exactly how I felt about it Avenger. I am rather proud of the way they came back in the 2nd half. I am not taking anything away from Cas; a lot of our errors came from their pressure and they were superb in attack first half. But a lot of the pressure came from our poor decisions in possession and Poor discipline. We gave the better side an extra hand. 2nd half a superior half back in Liam Finn did what Finn does and quite a few Wakefield fans never acknowledge; marshal us smoothly round the park with some great distribution and we looked far better. I think Williams needs to be on the bench at the start not Finn. Had that plonker Cobb not given a pen for 'downtown' a penalty I don't think I have ever seen called and I doubt I ever will again, we might just have made Cas sweat there. But all said we wouldn't have deserved it to be fair. Bad play first half and a bit of bad luck against the best side in the league was never going to help

Castlefords previous big victories this season don't suggest that easing off is in their mindset, even with a short turnaround. They've continued to play competitively and put teams to the sword even after the games been well won.
I think there has to be more credit offered to the Wakefield team for knocking Cas out of their stride and being as good as a Cas in the 2nd half even without both centres.
We actually bombed a number of half opportunities and squandered a fair bit of field position yet still put 24 points on Cas at their place.
