The situation appears dire at Bradford....
“In the last six months two other clubs have had to restructure their businesses, introduce new investment from owners and release players to avoid administration. For Bradford to effectively drop off debt as a result of the administration without a points deduction would have significantly impaired the integrity of the competition.
“At a meeting with the club’s directors on February 7 they informed the RFL that they needed a further £500,000 of investment or advances of broadcast monies in order to continue to trade.
“We have seen nothing further from the directors to suggest that situation has improved. Indeed their business plan revealed yet another attempt to buy the club with its own money."
No wonder Sammut and Carvell left, they have a living to earn and it looks like the writing is on the wall for the Bulls and players won't be getting paid at some stage again probably! which is sad when you look at where they were with success only 10 years ago.
This is backed up by Mark Moore who was part of the consortium going to but the club......""We have been open and honest with the players and kept every promise made to them.
"The points deduction will hurt them most and we are very worried about their welfare, as they will view this mountain placed in front of them as something too tough to climb. As warriors we believe they will try their very best."
Can see the flood gates opening now with players putting themselves first and seeking another club which I take no pleasure in stating.
