How would you have done things differently? You're not happy with the way MC is dealing with the problems we have but offer no alternative. You're getting really boring.

I would not admit in public that we are looking to sell players nor would I of stated that we are short of money especially when you need supporters to buy 3000 ST. I would try to defer the payments by discussing it with each supplier in order to ascertain the true costs.
I would also see if I was MC if my dad who pocketed several millions from the sale of his bus company would be willing to support his son's new business venture.
I would keep the retail and commercial side going, open the shop when it should be and make sure the club replies and sort out any problems.
It's not MC fault being his recent history was an accountant at his father's bus company which is somewhat different from a rugby club.

The trouble with discussing the payments to the suppliers, is that they are probably the same suppliers that have been bummed twice in 3 or 4 years and it's very difficult to play the sympathy vote.
By MC disclosing where the club is, he has not conned anyone.
The only questions are about the shortfall and how much is left and if anyone else is required to be off loaded.
The season is 4 months away, have a bit of faith.

Not wishing to be pedantic but I think you will find I have stated these exact same ideas and views from just after MC was appointed by AG and he made what I considered to be a most disastrous interview. The retail and commercial operations at that time were still in place and therefore how could anyone predict what a mess the board would make of these but then again we probably should.
Do you think saying that KH was asked to invest but declined so instead we decided to employ her was a wise statement to make if so you really do have a blind spot when it comes to the board.

I have another question more suited to an accountant. What is the average home crowd have the board budgeted for in their figures considering we had about 8000 last season.

An average of 8k but with an income of I guess 5/6k. There was always going to be a drop with the price going up and a poor finish to the season. The off season will have reduced it further so I reckon it will be 4/5k.

We only averaged 8k on paper, the true figures is considerably less.

The only correct figure was the last game, what will happen next year depends on signing some players.

It will be against the paper 8000 that we will be compared. It is not signing bodies to fill a shirt but they must give the supporters hope that we are not just going through the motions towards relegation.

Isn't worrying about comparisons exactly the reason why the attendances get overstated in the 1st place. Next year we are now expected to struggle in all areas so lets have the true attendances published each week.

You are "one of the few clubs".... I enjoyed hospitality at the England game this weekend and overheard your chairman arguing with Nigel Wood on the merits of supporting the RFL's restructure (in a corridor in public view - embarrassing really). Wood basically said that if clubs did not agree then other changes would massively favour championship clubs meaning a dramatic loss of revenue for "your club". Wood was pretty animated, especially when questioned on bail outs for other clubs. Sounded like your chairman was having his arm twisted big time, anybody questioning his passion for your club is way off the mark!!
