In all seriousness I chose option two. At the time of the poll our performances were getting worse and it was difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But Agar also deserved to be given the chance and the time to sort it out and thankfully he did. Lets hope he carries on in the same vein as the latter half of the season for the whole year next time out!

In all seriousness, all new teams need time to gel and we have proven that given time we are a competitive side. Only London away and Wigan at home have been real beatings as far as I can remember!

Always a keen member of the team needs time to gel and even when others ran out of patience I still thought there was time and signs that we could play some good RL.

He didn't do a great job at Hull, but we don't know what constraints he was under from the board. Since joining you I think he's done a great job and my fingers are crossed that you can do the business at Leeds.

He deserves a lot of credit for what he's achieved with you.

From what i have read in the past from Loyal agar fans that are B/W fans and also heard on Humberside radio he wasn't allowed to do his job properly. Hull got rid of 3 staff last season and believe Agar was not the correct choice the other two were and if Agar was given another year FC would have been in same situation now or even better. Gentle has nowhere near the same constraints as what Agar had to put up with.

I have always said Agar would do a good job, never doubted it.

I chose 1. It was obviously going to take time to get things together, but in this days and age everyone wants instant results, quicker this, faster that. Build properly on good foundations and you'll be around a long time, build on sand and you end up like crusaders.

I seem to remember there were also some players who were singled out for abuse, early candidates for scapegoat-of-the-year. How did they shape up in the end, I wonder?

I'll hold my hands up and questioned giving Ali a 2 year deal, but he has proved his fitness and shown how good he is, I dont think i appreciated how good he was at Leeds.

he wouldn't of been my choice at the time but I aint going to shout for his head half through his first season after what we was left with by the administrators,
I still think at the time that a 3 year contract was a year longer than expected but then who would we have got on a two year.

Just reading back on my post and am more than happy to be proved totally wrong on all counts . Although if everyone was honest I doubt anyone at the time would have foreseen us finishing in the top 8 and winning some of the games we have. That said, I have to acknowledge that there was a large number of people clearly more sensible than me in not condemning Mr Agar early doors!
