I'm not MB's biggest fan but jumping on him re last nights performance is extremely harsh.

Yes he made a few mistakes but he wasn't the only one.

We were simply outclassed by an excellent Saints team, one we could learn a lot from.

10 out of 10 for effort yet again but we simply offered nothing going forward and we just could break them down and they eventually steamrolled us of the back of intensive pressure.

Lot of positives to take out of it but still so much to work on.

It is very harch having a go at Matty IMO. Yes he dropped 1 bomb but that is the first 1 i can remember him dropping in a very long time and anyone who was at the game last night would have seen that that bomb was swerving all over the place.

National league standard player, who must have something on the management to get a game at superleague level on a regular basis imo. Its easy to come on here and critise and alot harder to do on the pitch but having played in same side as him and having spoken to current players in superleague i think its fair to say that he must have something on the wildcats brains trust to get selected.

Martyn Holland has to be up there he was the best defensive full back I have seen at Trin.

My first thought when Blaymire dropped that ball last night was of the sad sacks on here wetting themselves in excitement because he'd made a mistake. Has a full back been more exposed then Matty was last night? He was constantly left on his own facing 2/3/4 Saints players running through the other 12 Trin players. If people think that Matty is a problem let alone a big problem for us then they are sadly deluded.

Dont get me wrong Blaymire as done his best for us and done well. But we are looking to kick on now and unfortunatly the lad aint improving infact going backwards Smurph is in a different league at fb im affraid.

One bad game and the knives are out. Don't get me wrong i'm not Blaymires biggest fan but normally he's defensively sound, he just had a bad night. If it keeps happening fair enough but hes earned the right over the years to be able to right the wrongs of last night.

Although it is fair to say he offers bugger all going forward!

How attacking can a full back be when you have 15% possession in an entire half?

I don't think he had that bad a game dropped a high ball but other than that was just left very exposed by his team mates.

We had plenty of possesion last week and he offered nothing going forward then either! Or for the previous two seasons come to think of it! But his strength is that he is usually defensively sound.

As well as the drop he got caught out positon a couple of times last night which is unlike him but as I said derserves a chance to rectify it.

No I'm not out of line, but in attempt to promote harmony I'll modify it to an "idiotic comment IMO" which is as fair as I'm willing to be as regards the posters outburst.

Not a great day at the office for Blaymire last night, but he doesn't deserve to be singled out; his only howler was the missed bomb, and that can (and does) happen to any fb, any week.
