Not many SL clubs with 'space' for him.

Quote: Richard1 "Would adding Hampshire, Walmsley plus 3 forwards finish of the squad?'"

Going into the season with 24 players would be risky.

What you mention would be a start though. I’d add another 2/3 players.

Half back
Winger
Centre/utility back
2 x props
Loose forward/second row
Young Harvey Smith???

Though I would hope we have some quality players in that list above. A big signing at prop, wing and halfback is needed. It would be great to get Tanginoa over the line though for sure. Him and young Boothroyd interchanging on left edge could do some damage. The benefit of Tanginoa is he can if needed be used at prop but as a wide runner he would be excellent in the championship if we. An stretch defences.

I agree on the areas we need strengthening. Powell himself said he needs some front row middles as a priority.

But I'd rather try and find players like Boothroyd.
Young and keen with something to prove rather than a Hampshire or Miller. Both were great for us but both turned their backs on us too and this is a new era.

I thought it was the club who turned its back on Hampshire.

Don't think Carter even offered Hampshire a contract, Miller was offered one but left anyway

I wouldn't want Miller back. Club Captain who left us for our bitterest rivals.
No thanks, plus he was rubbish last season so a definite no from me.

Clearly there are better people on here to say what happened but it wasn't a one time thing. Those contract negotiations were difficult over a few seasons.

Anyway, last time round he said he didn't want to play Championship so I don't think it's a good fit and he has a gig and Wigan so why would he want to come back.

I still think it's time for fresh faces.

Thought there was an option at Wigan but not sure who’s favour. He may be available.

Isn’t Brandon Wakeham available again? There was talk of him last season.

Him and Waqa Blake would be 2 big signings. Blake can also play wing if the Walmsley deal has hit the buffers.

Can’t wait to see who comes in and how the squad shapes up.

Waqa Blake stated in a recent interview in the aussie press that he wanted to stay in Australia for family reasons, seems he has children living in Perth, and is also considering a move to the other code to play near them. Plus he was reportedly earning Aus$500,000, so I don't think we will see him in the rwb anytime soon

If that anywhere near the figure then it would be unlikely. I’m sure we will pick up some quality for the remaining players.

I wonder if there will be a signing released before or with season tickets..
