I think hes 33, but I think its him thats retiring, and that Johnson is the onw heading our way, who is local and only about 24.

That said 120 or so games in his 5 years over here isnt bad, when you compare against Kelepi over a similar timescale.

I also think he's from Crofton, but his dad could be Graham Cooper, Brian's slightly younger brother. Graham played for Trinity u 17s and under 19s also in the mid to late 60's and went on to sign for Cas,where as Bri signed for Trinity.

I used to bump in to Brian quite a bit round the village and talk rugby. He always gave me the impression that Ben was his lad.

I can confirm Ben is Brian’s son, they are from Crofton. Ben is my dad’s cousin, unfortunately Brian isn’t with us anymore but his legacy lives on. Ben’s brother John still players for Stanley Rangers- in the masters.

On his day a devastating powerhouse , but we only saw glimpses of those early performances in the later years or so , through injuries and our own lack of quality as a team more recently.
