If were screwed either, as seems to be the case, I would call the Council's bluff on this and accept the terms they offer, if they ever get rounded to providing them. Watch them themselves when they suddenly have to back up what they said they will do and not have the club to shift the blame on when it doesn't happen.

I was gonna say the same though, call their bluff on their supposed Community Stadium. Like you hint at they haven't been right good at paperwork so far and watch them also backtrack on that offer for the Community.

After nearly ten years of talking around a table what has actually been achieved ? Zero - we no longer own our stadium, we have no viable plan for a stadium in the city. looking at the outputs - the council (biggest land owner in wakefield) have delivered nothing in terms of providing a facility for the club to play in, that meets super league standards. So if we continue jaw jaw on a similar basis to the preceding years - what will be the likely outcome.

Its true civil proceedings will take time we dont have, and spend money we can ill afford to lose, but getting round a table without a potential lever will just sees the current impasse remaining until the club disappears or becomes a park team playing at east moor or stanley

The current scenario is we move to Dewsbury next season and then move again the season after maybe Coventry or Edinburgh because we cannot return to Wakefield as it currently stands. We gave notice to leave Belle Vue and we walked out of the talks therefore have we not also signalled our intentions to go our own way.
If we have a plan to stay or return to Wakefield it is not clear how the current strategy can produce this result. It will certainly facilitate our departure from Wakefield but maybe that is what we want

Why how do you all see it panning out. I have given my view of the future purely based on what I have read. If any of you think I am wrong please tell me how and why it will be different.

A number of people have given different potential outcomes, which you are always quickly to disagree with...but then get very touchy when anyone questions your opinions, which you almost treat as facts.

There are a very small amount of people who know everything, and it's difficult to know what will happen without all the facts. You do seem to always assume the club is in the wrong though...which is a strange approach for a supposed fan.

I just think you'd get more traction if you were a tiny bit more constructive...just disagreeing with everything and then saying it's not up to you have a plan is like having a discussion with a Twitter troll.

That's fine. Just as long as we know it's just internet speculation at the same level as everyone else. There was always a suspicion that it was more than that, but for as long as we know it's just froth from the bloke at the bar, we can treat it as that. Thank you for confirming.

I doubt Ted has any interest in what's going on let alone a plan for getting us out of the mess he left us in.
