With Finn we would get a player who can kick goals and has a great kicking game taking pressure off Miller. Our kicking game was appalling last season and we missed Sykes from the year before

Yep, Finn may not be the 'marquee' signing but people have to ask themselves, if the option is to take Finn or T.Smith, who would you take?

We want players who play with heart n commitment every game and are a good example to kids on AND off the pitch.

Finn would probably cost about half of T.Smith but be twice the value.

Sadly you can only get so far with heart and commitment, you name me a team in SL who did well without any skill players. Negative I know but also the truth, we all remember the five drives and a kick that dogged Kear towards the end and how many of us want to go back to that.

Yeah n too many times last year there were players out there who lacked the heart n commitment n look where it got us. Miller for instance has the skill and can use to max if he is relieved of the pressure of kicking for field position etc

Liam Finn has 12 months left on his contract hasn't he ? Unless Cas are signing a TOP half back, surely Finn's kicking game alone, is worth a few points a season. Guess he's a bit like Leigh's (our) Martin Ridyard, not the quickest, but his brain makes up for it...BIG style !
