I know i'm a cas fan but i've always taken an interest in Newmarket and i always thought it was too good to be true. However when the proposed upgrade of belle vue came to light i thought it seemed ideal and i really hoped it would come off for you. Rivalry apart its gone too far now and i just hope you come out of all this with a positive result. Chins up and best of luck.

I am highly suspicious of the role played in this debacle by the Castleford based council 'mafia' who together seem to wield far more power generally on the council than elected council members representing other areas of Wakefield Met.

Given the fact that part of Balls constituency is Morley, so Leeds based, and they have been against the development from day one (and he is friendly with Clr Wakefield), the fact that his wife Cas MP Yvette Cooper is pushing for the Cas development (the same one Boxy really wants) and also bearing in mind that in his position as shadow chancellor he is fully committed to helping new business and industry get developed as part of his election policy for economic growth, then no probably not.
Thats even if the correspondence gets past his pa in the first place. He might I suppose pay it lip service at best if it does. |
