I guess we have to keep looking back to what M.C. is trying to tell us, money is tight if a player/agent asks for more than we can afford then the answer is obvious no matter how good a player is we can not afford him. It must be difficult when you dont have a crystal ball not knowing how much money is available and how it can be allocated especially at this time of year when we have no idea as to how season tickets will go. I dont envy M.C. and co one bit.

Well im sure if we keep shipping players out and not replacing them in vital positions season tickets will remain the same. No increase.

I don't mind a bit of speculation, but I do wish it could be done without the edge of hysteria that often creeps in; the latest being that Mathers is not being retained and because an announcement has not been made about a replacement, we'll start 2015 with no fb. That's despite the fact that the current season is not yet over, we could be talking to any number of players, and we have several options already signed up who would be capable fb's.

Calm down kids - and accept that like RA before him, JW has absolutely no incentive to do anything other than use the funds MC has made available to get the best team he can out on the park; and if he needs the help of anyone on here in making those decisions, I'm sure he'll ask.

I'm sure JW knows the players he wants and hopefully he will get them. I was hoping, probably naively that there would not be a wholesale change of staff for next season but it looks like there will be.
I'm concerned we are losing senior players like Mathers, Moore, Raleigh and less senior but no less important TT. I don't have a clue about the finances presumably that had to do with some of the leavers but it looks like a team build again for next season.
Clearly Hall and Ashurst are quality, I don't know about Simon but I will assume he fills Raleigh's spot. Just need a fullback now and two explosive props of the same or better quality than Moore and Tautai and the ST may increase.

I think Simon will be a very good signing based on his limited performances for Catalan and will add greater go forward. Need another Tautai type impactive prop though but have confidence in Webster to make the most of the limited finances he's got.

The other two signings are Super League quality so hopefully add strength and quality.

The squad appears to be going in a transitionary period with a coach bringing in those that he wants, as long as it's done with a good pre season I'm fine with that.
