It always amazes me that because the more vocal, over reacting minority on here shout and stamp the loudest they somehow think it means they represent the majority. There were many, many folks who still backed Kear and warrned against getting rid unless somebody better was available. There is no point going over it now though because we are where we are and we have what we have but lets not rewrite history.

Wasn't it a case of JK's contract not being renewed rather than him being sacked though? I'm pretty sure season ticket sales would have been down if he would have been given another chance, I know i'd be Ā£100 better off!

The discussion thread is about Hickey and whether it was possible for him to come back to WTW and be an asset.
Suggestions were made for retired players to come back I think in gest. I think Korkidas is still better than Hickey, retired players and our current crop of props (except Amor, Johnson & Wilkes). If that is worrying then that is a reflection of the lack of WTW front row options.

Reading their forum, they (it appears) now seem to have a quota spot open.

Season ticket sales would've been non existant if the club had said Agar was in line for the job.

A lot of people like you seem to forget that from 2007 to 2009 his teams played some great RL REMEMBER beating Cas convincingly every time! It was only circumstances that caused him to lower the standard. He never had the riches Agar has been offered in his last few seasons that's for sure. JK was the best Coach this club has had since Ken Trail, only Andy Kelly and Toppo give him any competition and Toppos reign is seen through rose tinted specs as he left in an almost identical manner to Kear.
I was in the minority in that I thought letting Kear go in the way we did was a disaster - the grass is always greener for most fans - Agar was not a popular choice, but hey who did you expect would want to coach us?

agree up to a point, but I thought he crossed the rubicon when he applied to leave us for les cats. After that things were never the same and the end was inevitable. So in a way JK was the one most responsible for ending his time with us IMHO of course.

I agree that JK did a cracking job early on, not many others could have saved us when he jumped on board but the magic didn't last and the rugby got boring, I don't think anyone can argue with that.

I am though and so are a fair few others - yes it was boring but for reasons mostly beyond JK's control - nothing to do with magic more to do with the tragic. He was with us for 5 and a bit seasons and most of it was about as good as you get at BV.
