| I took my son yesterday and he's not a sports fan by any stretch of the imagination , but he sat there and was asking me "why do we only pass once after a tackle?", "why is nobody helping that player". Questions WE have been asking for a full season (or more) his best was "my god Dad he's bigger than you!"

| Quote fat faced fan="fat faced fan"this is a fair comment imo. mr glover is seen to be focussing all efforts off field for understandable reasons: but with every passing week we're losing/turning off fans and they don't come back overnight.
i have questioned elsewhere whether his pockets are deep enough, given that his first move was to set up a lottery scheme. i really hope that they are deep enough to fund a bright return in 2015 if at all possible.'"
In all honesty i'd rather him set up the club so its self funding as much as possible rather than relying upon one individual to keep afloat. If he manages to achieve this, the club would be much better for it whatever division they end up in.

| I just find this all laughable, that he shoud resign...really what has he done to justify resignation. Six wins given the adveristy and uncertainty surrounding the club is an achievement to be proud of. Now we are looking at the team selections on individual players when few of us have the inside track as to what is happening e.g. injuries / attitude.
I don't see good players queing up to sign for wakefield and indeed financially would it make sense to offer anyone on decent money a contract just yet.
Not defending Kear 100% as i share some of the frustration re our style of play...but really we knew our fate at the start of the season and i honestly don't believe anyone else out there could have done better given how we started the year.
Some people need to remember the bigger picture.

| To be fair I'm sure glover said his aim was to make the club self sustaining. There has been plenty off field development recent months to make this a realistic goal I'n the near future.
The playing side has seen little investment but that is fine for me.
We are I'n a transition period with an eye on the end of July.
I get cheesed off like anybody else when our team collapses but it seems we are setting ourselves up well for the future. That future IMHO will involve a shake up of the playing side and set-up.

| Quote Jambon="Jambon"I have finally lost interest in the club i love, i can accept defeats, but when were racking up cricket scores and just simply not competing i cant bring myself to watch. Kear has to go NOW! Give Drury the job till the end of the season. By this time we will know where we are playing, if Tony has done a good job, keep him on, if not Powell / Harrison or we search OZ for a decent young assistant with good coaching credentials.'"
No way they are just poor man versions of Kear. I would go with your second option, I'm afraid it probably has to be an Aussie with someone like Drury as a guide.

| I know naff all about coaching the game at senior level but what really frustrates me is that, in virtually every game this season, even when we've played really badly and/or have been seriously tonked, we usually have a 10 or 15 minute period where we throw the ball around, back up, off load and generally play good rugby league. When we play like that we often score and are certainly entertaining. Then we go back to the same old one out, head down, up the jumper stuff for 5 (if we're lucky) tackles followed by a crap kick and chase. We have absolutely nothing to lose so why doesn't Kear give the lads a bit of slack and let them play the rugby we know they can play? Yes they'll do something stupid, make wrong decisions, drop the ball etc but. as I say we've got nothing to lose. I'll go to the ends of the earth to watch them ('though I didn't go to HKR - that's asking too much!) and don't mind seeing them lose if they've had a go. But what we're seeing most of the time at the moment is boring, dull, predicatable, poor rugby. Surely it's Kear's job to rectify this and he doesn't show any signs of being able or willing to do so.
I've always liked Kear and respected him (though that was tested with the catalans business) but he doesn't appear to be doing his job and I now think it's time for him to go (but please don't ask me who I'd replace him with).

in virtually all drubbings, the losing side has a good 10-20 minute spell. it's not unique to us in our present form. this applies in the non-pro game too.

As I say, I know sweet FA about it but why does this happen? Surely , if they can do it for 10 to 20 minutes, they can do it for 40 minutes, 60 minutes, 80 minutes?
I realise that if you're playing a better side with better players they'll find ways of dealing with the threat but that doesn't mean you stop trying to play inventive rugby. Clearly th etactics we're using aren't working but we persevere with them and manage to make poor or average teams eg Quins, HKR Crusaders, Salford look like world champs.

Does he fancy taking over for the next few games. Give him a can of fosters and tell him to get a shrimp on the barby and suddenly his credentials will be there for all to see.

| Quote WireWonder="WireWonder"Mr Kear may consider himself too good for the likes of Wakefield. This is a guy whose won major trophies.

yes but we also dont expect teams like HKR to get 70 could have being 84 if they kicked goals
