Just had a quick look at Cas forum, some of the fans we’re expecting a former Strength and Conditioning chap Ben Cooper, to be joining his former club as it appears he has left that position at HKR. They reckon he’s joining Trinity, I don’t know anything about the man, or if he’s worked with DP during his time at Castleford, I do think S & C is an area that could do with improvement.

Two years ago i'd have agreed with you that we needed a change in the S&C area but actually last year with the new guy in charge i thought it was one area we were pretty good in, obviously Kevin Proctor apart. We just weren't a good enough or well coached enough team. We didn't often fall away dramatically at the end of games and managed three golden point games ok. It's a bit harsh if the current guy has been replaced in my view but i guess Powell wants his own team in.

ben Cooper is a local lad he played for Stanley rangers. Signed for Sheffield and he played for Huddersfield.

Same team at Stanley that went a season unbeaten, most of the kids were offered apprentice deals , James brown went to leeds, Ryan Hudson to castleford , Danny Barnes Halifax I think, andy speake played for us, can’t remember all the others , bit like the all conquering sharlston team of yesteryear
