So lets assume Toulouse win next weekend and get promoted. Fast forward to the end of 2024 and Wakefield and Toulouse are both graded B by IMG but Wakefield get a better points total in coming to that grading. Do you then replace them in Superleague?

It’s all very amusing but we were relegated and won only 4 games not much of a legacy after ten years most of which were less than impressive. I suppose that no TV coverage impact’s sponsorship especially with all SL games being covered but what the heck because we had 10 seasons under the glorious tenancy of our messiah.
I would say they knew the gamble they were taking but what does it matter they had a coach who could propel us into the top 6 plus he was leaving to let others sort out the mess.

So Superleague 2025 will be made up of all the A grades plus (up to 12 teams) the highest grading points scoring B grades irrespective of which league they were in in 2024.

Effectively each year is assessed independently. If in 2025 we are in the top 12 clubs on IMG points, then we are in.
It's possible a team that doesn't achieve the points would drop out from the current 12. Doesn't have to be Toulouse.
And alternatively, 2 teams from championship could be promoted if they get the points.

6 or 7 can be confident they are in. Next 4 probably know but there's is up for grabs.

No one is laughing about our performances. Some just realise it is hard work and a lot of money to lift out of it.

Just another thing I’m not sure of with IMG criteria. Next week we have London v Toulouse in the playoffs for SL, but after this season, a team doesn’t get into SL by winning the championship playoffs, so my question is, will there still be a championship top six playoff if the winner doesn’t automatically qualify for SL.

I'm very skeptical about this rating system. I think London or Toulouse could play in a car park and IMG would probably give them more points than us next season to keep moving forward with the magical expansion.

There's no 'giving points' The criteria is set.

And IMG only set the guidelines. RFL decide your score.

Yes. Well for now but yes.

Winning the league and then the GF earns you IMG points.

For example. If you finish bottom of super league you get 2.77 points.
If you finish top of Championship you get 2.55 points.

But the championship side also has a chance of an extra 0.25 points for winning GF. So the playoffs are important to get a little lift over the lowest side in SL

- that's done over a 3 year average though.

Ironically, a team getting GF and promoted into SL, dropping back the year after and then getting GF again would have 2.86 points whereas the team who got 11th 3 years running would get 2.88.

In reply to PT those who find it funny about the implications of being relegated. I wonder how funny you would think it was if we didn’t now have the backing of Ellis and had to rely on the Chairman following the departure of our CEO.
I doubt when the incumbents put this squad together they did so knowing that a new owner was going to take over and save us from their on field decisions.

No funnier than the previous 4 times we've been relegated nor the times we've had winding up orders, CVAs or CCJs against us. All of those previous instances happened before you appeared as Michael Carter's stalker so maybe you missed them. Hopefully when he finally retires you can follow him into the sunset.
